What Herald says about ending up in the fiery lake does have some Scriptures that point to that not happening you should also realize not everyone gets treated the same at His return. Everybody includes going back as far as Adam and Eve. Those who are not considered as 'servants' will get as close to fiery lake conditions as God allows. Rather than me tell you what these verses mean decide for yourself if they are just scare tactics. Not quite, there chum, I mock those who ram their own interpretations of God down other's throats. You have no bloody business interpreting the actions of the true God, by scare mongering and making threats.
1Pe:4:17:
For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God:
and if it first begin at us,
what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
1Pe:4:18:
And if the righteous scarcely
be saved,
where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
Isa:65:12:
Therefore will I number you to the sword,
and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter:
because when I called, ye did not answer;
when I spake,
ye did not hear;
but did evil before mine eyes,
and did choose that wherein I delighted not.
Isa:65:13:
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD,
Behold,
my servants shall eat,
but ye shall be hungry:
behold,
my servants shall drink,
but ye shall be thirsty:
behold,
my servants shall rejoice,
but ye shall be ashamed:
Isa:65:14:
Behold,
my servants shall sing for joy of heart,
but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart,
and shall howl for vexation of spirit.
Isa:65:15:
And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen:
for the Lord GOD shall slay thee,
and call his servants by another name:
Nothing about the lake in those verses, not a pleasant place but at least a person can be brought back from there. Once brought out of that place a person has paid the price of their previous sins, no further punishment is coming ....... however should you not want that forgiveness you can reject it and commit another sin ..... then that person gets to see the fiery lake.
If you have some verses that point to a different fate for those ....... go for it. If 2/3 of the living die at His return then it is pretty obvious He doesn't expect most people to
be clued into what the Bible actually says.
Uhmn .... These words are how you describe yourself ... "Confused Member" .... perhaps it is more you than the Bible although I have to admit you aren't alone. Perhaps those 'contradictions' are there on purpose. Sort of like a 'stop sign', if you figure out why there is no contradiction then you move forward in gaining a bit more knowledge about God. If something remains a contradiction to a person then that is as far as God allows them to go. Might not be totally 'fair' but it would certainly weed out the mockers in a hurry. Not being alive right after His return does not mean salvation never comes, it just come after all danger is over. By sending the non-believers to the grave or hell God actually keeps them away from Satan in the final battle at the end of the first 1,000 years. Any satanic followers at that time get sent to the lake but these are fallen angels and not men.To me , the bible should be banned . It has done more dammage to society then other hate literature. It is a book of confusion and contradictions
