I think that was one of the reasons why the Republican base supported McCain enthusiastically after he selected Joan of Arc. It is not that they wished McCain dead, but they hoped that he will be merely a figurehead (like the Queen in Britain), a rubber stamp of a president, with Joan of Arc making all the decisions.
And if he were to die in office (McCain is quite old, after all), why so much the better.
Every time I get ta thinkin' there just might be some electrical activity between your ears, ya come up with a post like this.......more effectively proving you are brain-dead than any medical investigative procedure known to man......
First of all, the Republicans supported McCain because they admire his war record......and, although too moderate for many, they saw him as one hell of a lot better than Obama.
Secondly, the VP office is completely powerless in the Executive sphere.........not worth a pitcher of warm piss, to quote LBJ.......so much for the power behind the throne.
Thirdly McCain is in possession of all his facilties, and will probably remain so for a long time, if genetics has anything to do with it. His mother toured France by car on her own......when she was in her 90s.
The more facts you know, the less apt this idiot is to listen to you.
