Hi all canucks followers: Just a reminder that on Monday, the canucks prospect
rookies will be out to their training camp, and a few days after that they will
play two games in alta..

These young players must be very excited, it is their chance to shine, and try
their hardest to make the big team, or just make it through to the next camp.

Cody Hodgson should be there, but he is still recovering from a back injury suffered while working out some weeks ago, so they might skip this session
for him, as he will be going to the next camp anyway.

Canucks are 2 and 0 so far this preseason.

This is the year! I can feel it!

They're actually 3 and 0 if you count the first game in Terrace to celebrate
hockeyville.
The new young russian guy looks real good, along with others, the team will
be better.
6-2 tonight in San Jose

Luongo playing the whole game tonight, cody hogson also playing his first game,
as he has been rehabbing a sore back.

Not sure what channel, probably sportsnet.

Two firsts and one second, he will deplete the leafs of good young players just
like he did with the canucks. Sure he got Kessel but lost 3 future players, gillis
won't do that.

While I think it was a tad steep, Kessel is only 21 years old. If they had done this trade for a late 20's player, I would be more ticked off. As it stands, I will take a wait-and-see attitude. He could be just what the Leafs needed.

Plus, if the Leafs make the playoffs the picks they gave up will be average at best(next year's draft is apparently weaker than this year's by far).

3 to 1 against the Oilers. The Canucks looked pretty good though they were using a lot of young players and wannabes. Let's see what they look like when the games mean something....;-)

These games do mean something. These games could be the difference between staying in the NHL and being religated to the minors again.;-)

yeah Scatchard hasn't played hockey for 2 years, so looks slow, but he even said,
he is playing to get noticed by NHL, could be another team, he just wants to be
at 'a' training camp.
Canucks are very deep this year at training camp, and these games mean a lot, as there
are not many spots, but there are quite a few players fighting for those spots, so
even the regulars better show up, cause those young guys want their jobs.

The defence is playing hard, and they have lots of defencemen, NHL ready, and
some very good players, playing for a couple of spots, so they are working their
butts off to make it.

Canucks look deep for a change, haven't seen that for many years. Manitoba will
have a good team, as whatever players go there, will be good ones.

They play Calgary on Monday
