Philosophy is a part of life . In a philosophy of life the following questions become essential: Is there something permanent in our spirit? Do our actions and thoughts have consequences that return to us? What is the place of thought in our lives? In eastern philosophy such questions are seen as central to life and living, though finding answers is perhaps not as important as it is to ask questions and that is the essence of majority of my posts in this forum....asking questions .
We aren't speaking of philosophy of life but of the philosophical motivation to love mythical beings. One is not necessarily precipitous of the other.

But when you break life down to the metaphysical and quantum levels, it becomes a myth. Third dimensional reality is not much more than a holographic image created by thoughts and beliefs. Our concepts of reality have been handed down to us for many millennium and are not necessarily real. Our reality may just turn out to be a belief system with as much validity as religion.

In reply to China and his inquiries.

Is there something permanent in our spirit? Do our actions and thoughts have consequences that return to us? What is the place of thought in our lives
********************************************************************
Yes, I believe. There is something permanent to our Spirit. I do not believe the Lord would have evolved man to this point in his journey only to return him to dust without having us all repay Him, showing responsibility for our gift.
We are caretakers of his fruits on this earth and sharers of His message, the message of essence in most world religions, The Sermon on the Mount. Most references to any profound teacher or a teaching god refer to the basic essence of the Beatitudes.

Point number two. I believe. If we use this spirit the gift God has offered us to its best use we will not repeat over and over negative behaviors that reflect off of us onto others in our reachable surroundings. We will not then reflect the Glory of God, with our Mind and Spirit and hold ourselves back. We too can entrap our lives for years in this quagmire created by our self spirit. We too can often be wasteful of certain opportunity and fall away further from self discovery thus having even less precious time and the motivation seek Him.
I believe. We are put here to optimize our individual as well as man's greater good.

I believe. Thought can be used to seek light but thought also has the freedom to choose darkness. All in Darkness turns first inward to self. We will not often realize that there is only Darkness- only your unseen reflection in Darkness. Perhaps we may become so self involved, so unaware as to never notice that there cannot be an Aura- where there is no light.

Thought that endeavors to seek light- now it, it offers us the possibility to conquer and penetrate our self made inner darkness. Perhaps by grace we can later be given an opportunity to probe the dangers of the darkness around us. We can take time to share with others the Spirit of God and share His light. When we do. We will then reward Him for our precious -spirit gift- and the angels will join us in giving praise to the Almighty, Our Father in Heaven.

I can show the "magnetic flow" of a living creature to anyone who cares to look out their window. "god force" (magnetism) is so integral and so hidden in plain sight no-one sees it anymore.

God is the creater of ALL evil:

Why the hell did he create Republicans?:angryfire:

To give Democrats something to squawk about. If you only had one party, you would be either communist or fascist. Then you would really have something to squawk about.

Perhaps for some people. I like to think that when I see a tree, I see a tree. It's a life form. My beliefs and thoughts about trees are separate aspects. My belief is that we should all respect other life forms because I think we as well as the planet would benefit by it.
But if you want to start speaking in terms of "if"s, we will never decide on anything. Some people prefer to live in the past, some people prefer to live in the world of "if"s. Not enough people live NOW with rational and feasible plans for the future.

Anyway, MY reality dictates that I do not need to have faith in some imaginary entity to enjoy life so I do not develop a philosophy to justify it.

I don't follow your point of "motivating philosophicaly "to love mythical beings -(something that is not real ...imaginary ,your own projection).
Obviously to love someone there has to be a relationship.
I could be wrong , I live in China .

You don't suppose that a person can enjoy an imaginary relationship with an imaginary entity? Strange. I could have sworn I heard my kids say they loved Santa, Easter Bunny, and Bugs Bunny. I hear a lot of people say they love their gods. I fail to see your confusion.

I suppose that they also have their special places where they live.
Strange. I could have sworn I heard my kids say they loved Santa, Easter Bunny, and Bugs Bunny
Nothing strange, when I was a child I also liked Santa ,Easter Bunny and all other things that I could imagine.I'm not a child anymore AG,and those days are long gone .Any how it's not the Santa that I "loved" or had a relationship with ,it's the presents that I have received ( if any). Anyhow, you know how it goes :when I was a child I spoke like a child....
I hear a lot of people say they love their gods
People say many different things, especially the ones who enjoy a relationship with an imaginary entity .I truly fail to see your confusion.

Any how AG-welcome to the forum.

I did that in science class too, his leg twitched -when he was dead.
Wow, kinda like we'll stick to the earth, until we conquer gravity, hmmm... we done that one... a godlaw we smashed already! lol. maybe... if we get the town to pray to that volcano, we can save the city and un-utilize a godlaw! Could it be... if we ALL bow to our skyscrapers at 12:01am we can halt that earthquake, ya think? Stay sober for that one!

We aren't talkin' about the earths natural law of magnetism, or sideshow carnival mysticism here. You had to be there, hey, if you ask, he will put YOU there, spiritual healing. One piece, that night you had to BELIEVE, commit, then merely seek and ask, not "understand".
Understand this my friend, I was seen by many professional doctors, (hired by your insurance brokers to protect your money to avoid having to pay my surgeon (one of the best) hundreds of miles away because there was NO alternative. They went to school even longer than you!
They all took the pictures, with all that science, BEFORE and AFTER, there was no longer a reason to cut. Wrap your mind around that, if you've a mind to.

Many have been "spiritually" healed of terminal illness and not just by christians. Faith healing is something that has existed since the dawn of time. In '96 I was given one month to live unless I had triple bi-pass. I didn't and I'm still here. I knew an RCMP officer with terminal cancer that was sent home to die and lived twelve more years with his cancer in total remission until 1 month before he died.

I could site dozens of similar cases and none of them involved Jesus or christian faith healers. Faith healing is not restricted to just christian. It is part of just about every belief system. But in they end all were cured because they were determined to live and they took complete responsibility for themselves, their health.

When I was younger I spoke with people of every persuasion I met. There was not a single spiritual or religious group in our area who did not know me. When I was lying in the hospital in critical condition after been hit by a logging truck doing 60 miles an hour on a snowmobile I felt a very strong rush of light and energy enter my body. I found out later, that at the precise moment, every one of those groups were praying for me.

Some of those groups included the Emissaries of Divine Light, Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses, the Metaphysical Society, A group in a Sweat Lodge, as well as all the christian congregations. That sort of energy does not belong to any one group, it belongs to humanity as a whole and can be utilized by any one, no matter what they call it or what origin they imagine to come from.

You must have Tonka toys for log trucks where you are from, not questioning your reality of course, but they would still be pulling your teeth looking for transplanted tatoos in the grill of any Kenworth fully loaded going 60 mph in the PacNW.
Any deer is easily obliterated, that is a given, but then even a three quarter ton Buck of an Elk does not take another breathe...
Oh, who was that person you can name just at the dawn of time who was seen by people that were not physicans, let alone had not a thought electricity just their old- "magnetism" -did they actually do "resonance imagery" on the back of palm leaves in Egypt, musta got it from the Aliens I'd suspect, you too? Peace out man.

He was empty and hit the front end. I was thrown into a solid wall of ice. My helmet disintegrated. I broke lots of bones, fractured others, punctured lungs, etc.
As for your last paragraph, I didn't understand a word.

Okay, Line up kids:
My note referred to BOTH yours AND Cliffys earlier posts so....

Petros you went with:
I can show the "magnetic flow" of a living creature to anyone who cares to look out their window. "god force" (magnetism) is so integral and so hidden in plain sight no-one sees it anymore.
[implying this is a spiritual law here since Creation(?) disregarding pheromones and science]

---Thus I made the MRI anecdote with the palm leave, not that much of a stretch even for you guys. Follow the posts.--- clever dontcha think!

Regards Cliffy: I said
STILL questioning your reality of course, but they would still be pulling your teeth looking for transplanted tatoos in the grill of any Kenworth loaded or unloaded going 60 mph on ice, AND more importantly I was replying to your remark you made...

When You Cliffy remarked earlier that...:
"Many have been "spiritually" healed of terminal illness and not just by christians. (I noting lowercase "C") Faith healing is something that has existed since the dawn of time."

I merely asked you for historical not rhetorical names of any and all successful healings, you know of, by and which tribe, at "the dawn".
[I did assume medical care to the best of its ability preceded the spritual ceremony]
You do seem to be full of expertise on the subject.:p

Now. Slowly... Read it again, with a NEW awareness, slowly. Feel the dots connecting at all?
I don't smoke myself, you say the same?

Hey brother those prayers are Still going up you Cliffy, though you may have been long forgotten, " a long time gone", from your previously mentioned fellowships and township(s)! Feel that grace? We're taking over!
