Motivation is that which instigates a lifeform to seek something.
God means

The only evidence given for the existences of gods is given in documents written by humans. The same could be said for unicorns (a species of equine with a single horn growing from it's forehead), gremlins (a small mischievous creature that causes trouble for aircraft), Santa Claus, tooth fairy, etc. There is even more evidence for the existence of the Loch Ness "monster" or Sasquatches than there is for gods.
So it would seem the only philosophical motivation to love gods is that of the philosophical motivation to love any other creature for which there is no solid evidence. The wisdom in loving such creatures is debatable. Some people just love mythology for a variety of reasons. Others derive no benefit at all from mythologies. The rest fall somewhere in between.

I'm curious why you posted this inaccurate and silly description of me to China instead of me. Your complete misunderstanding of what I wrote and lack of evidence of the hundreds of books I have read in my comparative religion and philosophy studies makes your insight self serving and lacking in any credibility. I do know far more about your bible, it's history and the many mistranslations and intentional misrepresentations than you ever will because you are afraid to look beyond your blind adherence to your dogmatic beliefs.

Philosophy is a part of life . In a philosophy of life the following questions become essential: Is there something permanent in our spirit? Do our actions and thoughts have consequences that return to us? What is the place of thought in our lives? In eastern philosophy such questions are seen as central to life and living, though finding answers is perhaps not as important as it is to ask questions and that is the essence of majority of my posts in this forum....asking questions .
