Will the real Canucks please report to B.C. Place. It is now 5 - 2 and I have stopped watching. Even Luongo has looked not too good.

Hate to be a party pooper but...

Go Hawks!!

My favorite teams left in the playoffs are Vancouver and Chicago but I have to root for the Hawks. They deserve a cup.

6-3 final. Horrible, horrible game.

Hey, that's the 2nd game they've lost at G.M. Place since the end of January- no big deal, they're human. I missed where Salo got hurt, hope that isn't serious, but that in itself may have cost them a goal. They'll come back in game 3.

I see the next game isn't until Tues. which I'd say is to the Canucks advantage, having to travel and all and I'll bet the Hawks are just rarin' to continue while they think they have some momentum.

If Vancouver doesn't pick it up, Chicago is going to do to them what they did to Calgary.

Luongo has to steal games. So far he has been mediocre.

I'd say on the high end of mediocre- he's had one bad game in the past 6- that's batting about .833. Just watch him in game 3 (unless he has an injury we don't know about)

What teams have figured out is on low shots he gives up juicy rebounds. Chicago is hungry for them.

I hope he does come up with a big game or two in Hawkland. The Canucks are capable of playing a good road game. Lets hope they make some adjustments to slow the Hawks down.

I'd feel a little better if I knew Salo was going to be back.

Good points all but I think we've all been thinking of Luongo as the team savior or something. There have been some games that Luongo has stolen a game almost by himself. Luongo made a few spectacular saves last night but unfortunately he also let in a few pretty ordinary goals. The Canucks have needed their goaltender to put up a wall and in a good number of games. he has done that, but I get the feeling that this goaltender is burning out a little. If the defense and the rest of the team is playing a solid game, Luongo is fine but he needs the defense to sweep away those rebounds and pick up their checks. The coach needs to yell at the defense about these things. I also think the coach should put in the backup goaltender for thr next game.

I mostly agree with you, but I don't think putting in the back up goal tender now is the answer as Luongo is having two full days off and really he's only played two games in the past 10 days or so. I also don't think we should read too much into one game that was a bummer.

I can't believe some people are ready to throw Luongo, the one true superstar in the Vancouver line up, under the bus this fast. He was the Man against St Louis and throughout the regular season to get them to this point.OK he wasn't great last night but where were the rest of the Canucks? If the team in front of him takes the night off, there is only so much a goalie can do. The first 4 goals were nothing on Luongo, they were on the rest of the team.

The Canucks are supposed to be a team that plays a disciplined, system that emphasizes defensive commitments but that wasn't in evidence. After they almost blew it in Game 1, there were again, mistakes throughout the lineup. There were stupid penalties. The Canucks do not have the offense weapons to play "run and gun" and last night was a clear lesson in that regard. The real question is did they just hand over the series by giving home ice to the young, surging 'Hawks. I picked the Canucks in 7 in my pool but right now I'm not so sure.

Your partly right but again Luongo himself is not the total team.. And again the Canucks cannot cry the boo hoo's every time a man goes down like Salo.

Part of being in the playoffs is making due with what you have an good teams play with hurt players and substitutions all the time.. That is what makes the difference between good teams and Stanley Cup winners..

Lets see how they adjust for the next game and part of that is Alain Vigneault and how he will mix up the lines when this happens and deal with the issues as they pop up..

Carolina just thumped Boston, which is good, whoever the Canucks have to face in the finals, we want them bashed and battered.

I went away for the week end, and forgot my computer, or well, gave all you guys
a rest for a change from my constant canuck/nhl yakking.
Yes Shadow, that is very telling indeed. We have lots of trouble with this team
5 on 5, but do well with our special teams, with the exception of the one SHG
goal, very bad line change, no excuse for that.
