Now we don't have enough of an opinion over him? Sheesh you Americans are a hard nut to crack. What do you want from us huh?

Karrie, it is not really an American issue, it is a liberal/conservative or Republican/Democrat issue.

Bush was intensely unpopular, intensely disliked in most of the world. So the reaction of conservatives like DaSleeper (I assume) to the rest of the world was, SHUT UP!

Now Obama is very popular over most of the world. So the reaction of conservatives like DaSleeper again to the rest of the world is, SHUT UP!

Now if Obama became intensely disliked in the world (like Bush was), people like DaSleeper won’t have any problem with the rest of the world expressing their dislike of Obama (as loudly as possible, please!).

That is easy, karrie. When one does not like Obama, anything he does is wrong at some level. He bowed to Saudi king? He is no better than a common servant. He did not bow to the king? Why, he is just a boor, an ignoramus who has no manners and is purposely trying to offend our allies.

With conservatives, the poor guy just can't win, no matter what he does. Incidentally, it was the same with Clinton (and with Bush). It is the usual highly partisan nature of US politics, nothing more.

Nothing to do with liberals or conservatives, it is that it has never happened before in United States history. President Obama is the first President to bow down to anyone. No great conservative conspiracy SirJoseph. Not even a Bush thing. As for your so called lumber, you never should have sold it to the logging companies. Lets put those Canadian loggers on unemployment. ;-)

Northern Ontario,
You think not being willing to jump all over your POTUS over a bow is 'falling in line'? What happened to the American notion that Canadians shouldn't have an opinion about US presidents that ruled the day when Bush was running the show (Oh look.... karrie can break out irrelevant past issues too!!!)? Now we don't have enough of an opinion over him? Sheesh you Americans are a hard nut to crack. What do you want from us huh?

Huh? Yo?? ...I'm Canadian:canada:

Ironsides, so what? Just because it has never happened before, that is necessarily a bad thing? You people never elected a black president before either, was that also a bad thing (well, I suppose it is, if one I s a conservative).

It's unfortunate that something so insignificant can become so ill percieved .
One sees what they want to see, no one can help that and when there's hate involved the more blind you get.

What does Black have to do with it, you have knocked some black men I have quoted. Anyway one thing we do agree on and that is if he fails the world will be in a greater depression than the Great Depression. As for what he did, be assured, he has already heard about it.

The White House denies that Prewsident Obama bowed to the Saudi King.

Who should one believe?

Some video, probably produced by some Obama-hater far right extremist or the always truthful, objective, informative, no-spin, honest White House press releases?

Not to mention one's lying eyes!

Hey Bart......I've just come out of almost eight years of copy and paste rants of the likes of Paul Craig Roberts, Eric Margolis and more in three, maybe four different forums... It's time I have a little bit of fun just turning the tables on some people....
That's all it is to me:lol:.......I hate all politicians equally.......but..... they are a necessary evil:angryfire:

Yukon Jack, a more appropriate question is, who cares? This is something cooked up by conservatives to beat up Obama on the head with.

Sure it was non partisan. Bush was not hit by a liberal, but by an Iraqi (unless you define anybody who disliked Bush as a liberal. That would make for an awful lot of liberals in the world).

Ron, I think in the far East and Middle East, they use right hand for food (no forks or spoon, they eat with their hand) and left hand for toilet (no tissue paper, they clean their bottom with water and left hand).

So they would consider it particularly gross and offensive if they see a Westerner eat with his left hand.

You're right on track! I just couldn't think of a nice way to explain it.
My explanation would have been a bit more graphic, so I just stayed
vague.

OT....My Buddy say's that out of all the countries he's worked in, Saudi
Arabia was one of the nicest (but VERY strict). He couldn't even make
eye contact with a woman, and there are parts of the country that a non
-Muslim aren't allowed to travel through....but....he says you can leave
your truck with the windows down with the keys in the ignition and your
wallet on the dash....and be reasonable sure that everything would be
where you left it even days later. Very unlike Nigeria.:lol::lol:

Did you see something the rest of the world didn't? Bush expertly dodged ... TWICE ... not one but two well-aimed shoes. It was like he'd been dodging tossed shoes all his life.

Ron, non Muslims are not allowed to travel to Mecca and Medina. I think they give different color visas to Muslims and non Muslims, so that it is at once obvious who is a Muslim.
