Those shows look pretty good, but I never had the desire to get into them at the moment.

One that I was impressed with was The Tudors

It's done pretty well and not as boring as Shakespeare.

What a loser. In case you can't place him, think of that riveting CBC show "Seeing Things". It was on during CBC's peek dullness.
