talloola,

I don't have a TV. When I spent ten years living in the bush, I never had power or running water. Never missed vegging out in front of the idiot box so now that i am back here, I still don't have a TV. Don't miss it, don't want it, don't need it. It is just me and my Mac against the world. :)

'The entire political spectrum ranging from the 'libertarian' left, through the progressive editors of the Nation to the entire far right neo-con/Zionist war party and free market Berkeley/Chicago/Harvard academics, with a single voice, hailed the election of Barack Obama as a 'historic moment', a 'turning point in American history and other such histrionics. For reasons completely foreign to the emotional ejaculations of his boosters, it is a historic moment: witness the abysmal gap between his 'populist' campaign demagoguery and his long-standing and deepening carnal relations with the most retrograde political figures, power brokers and billionaire real estate and financial backers.'

Election Of The Greatest Con-Man In Recent History

There is a small bunch of extreme right wing activists who haven’t accepted Obama as the president (and never will). In their eyes, Obama is an illegal alien, he is a Muslim, a Socialist, a Communist, a Fascist (calling somebody a Communist Fascist is like calling somebody a liberal conservative, or a Republican Democrat, total nonsense, but those blinded by hate don’t worry about such technicalities).

To them Obama will never be one of them, he will always be the spawn of the Devil. These same far right nuts are trying to whip up controversy about Obama’s birth. They are convinced that not only Obama is not a US citizen, but that he is an illegal alien, he is in the county illegally. According to them, not only he should be stripped of Presidency, but also should be stripped of his Senate seat and deported to Kenya. They are trying to get the Supreme Court to overturn the results of the election and hand over the Presidency to McCain/Palin.

They reason, Supreme Court did it once, they handed the presidency to Bush in 2000, why not again?

This crowd hated Clintons with a passion (and they still do). However, their hatred towards Clintons pales in comparison with their hatred for Obama.

Well, in my books the idiots that try to have Obama unseated are the flip side of the coin from the guys that claim Bush "stole" the elections of 2000 and 2004. Some people just can't accept anything.

I don't have anything against Obama, I think his election is a historic event, I wish him the best of luck.

I would have rather seen McCain elected.

I think the Clintons are scum.

The Zulu shaman, or sanusi, Credo Mutwa, has written a poem to express his thoughts on what he sees as the true nature of Barack Obama and the agenda for Africa and the world that he represents.
Please circulate widely

An actor walks upon the floodlit stage of life
wearing a mask of an angel beneath a demon's gown.
Pretence smiles upon the crowded hall of life
holding out hope as bright as it is false.
Son of a woman in whose veins flows the blood
of ancient Ireland and dark Africa’s plains.
You are Obama, nick-named the standing king
You are Barack, oh, son born to deceive
The suffering hoards of Africa look up to you,
See a black saviour where nought but a Judas strides.
An entrapper of nations, bringer of dismal war
Behind the robes and the nylon wings of hope
Oh, may those who look upon you, see you as you are.
May those who hope in you behold you as you be
A prince deceitful to bring down Africa’s shrines
A siren who leads Africa’s ships onto rocks of obliteration.
Your rule my lord will not be one of peace
Your reign my king will not be one of smiles
Even as we speak in caves both dark and dank
Enraged fanatics plot your dark demise
They will put around your head a bloodwet martyr’s crown.
Oh black Kennedy following the one before
May God forgive thee and thy fiery spouse
As you walk in silence from the stage of life
Barack Obama, blessed son, Oh standing king.

Credo Mutwa

Obama Born In Kenya? His Grandmother Says Yes.

Someone is lying. According to Obama's Kenyan (paternal) grandmother, as well as his half-brother and half-sister, Barack Hussein Obama was born in Kenya, not in Hawaii as the Democratic candidate for president claims. His grandmother bragged that her grandson is about to be President of the United States and is so proud because she was present DURING HIS BIRTH IN KENYA, in the delivery room. -This, according to several news sites and Pennsylvania attorney Philip J. Berg (see video below) who is, surprisingly, a life long democrat himself. Berg is the former Deputy Attorney General of Pennsylvania, and he has an impressive background in his activities as a democrat, but his support for the party seemingly stops when it comes to his trust in Barack Hussein Obama. \

I thought she had died some time ago, but not sure.

The half brother/sister were born years after him, after his father remarried, his mother divorced his father, so they cannot have been
at his birth.
His half brother is in college right now, in his twenties.

Sovietizing The Economy: The Final Phase
'Insanity, according to a famous definition, is a condition revealed by the habit of doing exactly the same thing repeatedly in earnest anticipation of a different result. A closely related form of derangement is megalomania, a prominent symptom of which is an individual’s self-exalting belief that he is the divine exception that can make that different result occur. When it’s displayed in private pursuits, megalomania is a harmless if pitiable condition. When coupled with political power, it becomes the propellant of large-scale social experiments that ruin societies and kill people by the tens of millions.

Change? Obama Inner Circle Filled With Bilderbergers

'For two years, Americans have heard an unrelenting mantra of change emanating from the campaign trail. But now that President-elect Barack Obama has begun forming his cabinet, we’re seeing a cadre of more deeply entrenched insiders than any administration that has preceded it. Below is an overview of Obama’s top 14 selections to date. When considering their collective histories, a trend becomes clear, proving that the more things change under Obama, the more they stay the same.'

If that makes you happy, then go for it, but you are wrong when you say that
what is on tv is junk, or 'whatever' you said, there are many choices, its up
to the user to use his brain when choosing.
I watch many different programs on t v, all of which I could read about, but
why do that when I can see it at the same time.

Just as there were extreme left wing activists that would not accept Bush as their President. The show is on the other foot and the right wingers will get to dish it out.

To them Obama will never be one of them, he will always be the spawn of the Devil.

Nah...that is left wing talk that has been bestowed upon Bush.

These same far right nuts are trying to whip up controversy about Obama’s birth.

He might not be. He is refusing to release his birth records. Why?

They are convinced that not only Obama is not a US citizen, but that he is an illegal alien, he is in the county illegally. That wouldn't happen. But they could turn it over to Biden.

They reason, Supreme Court did it once, they handed the presidency to Bush in 2000, why not again?

And THAT crowd hated the Bush's and still do. What makes them any better?

It would seem that the far right wing nutbars are desperate to grasp any straw in the wind to provide themselves with any sort of validation.

They always have those scions of "intellectual" fervour like Anne Coulter or Rush Limbaugh to keep them comforted in their dereangement

the average person spends more time flipping through the channels than actually watching something. Why? Because there is precious little on "TV" that doesn't appeal to anyone but the lowest common denominator.

Taloola;

I'm not dissin you, it's our inability to be intellectually challenged by what we watch and the coporate media responds with the mindless drivel that they deliver

TV is a filler for an otherwise boring life

Obama Picks Gore's Team To Run Energy and The Environment

'Barack Obama has made his most decisive break so far with the past eight years of George Bush by appointing a Nobel laureate in science and a supporter of Al Gore to head his energy and environment team. The announcement in Chicago on Monday of the appointments of the physicist Steve Chu for energy secretary and the veteran regulator Carol Browner for the newly created White House "climate tsarina" received almost unanimously positive responses from
The greater responsibility for dealing with issues of energy and climate change falls to Ms Browner, who will co-ordinate the government agencies that deal with energy policy. She was head of the Environmental Protection Agency under Bill Clinton and has worked with Mr Gore.'

Now we are really going to see the fake global warming agenda pursued with vigour to change society in line with Orwellian 'principles'. Gore is a genetic liar and a fraud and so the perfect man for Barack Obama.

Someone is lying.

Stretch, someone is lying? I thought it was a foregone conclusion that Obama is lying.

Oh, so you don’t have a recording of her saying that Obama was born in Kenya, we are supposed to take the word of Obama haters that the grandmother said that. Do you have a video tape of her saying that? And if you do, has that video tape been authenticated, declared by unbiased experts not to be a forgery?

But when it comes to Obama, surely we can dispense with all the niceties of evidence, we all know Obama is guilty, don’t’ we? Word of Obama haters to the effect that they heard somebody say that he is not a citizen is surely the proof positive?

Berg is the former Deputy Attorney General of Pennsylvania, and he has an impressive background in his activities as a democrat, but his support for the party seemingly stops when it comes to his trust in Barack Hussein Obama.

As to that, Republicans don’t’ have a monopoly on hatred, extremism and nuttiness. We get conspiracy nuts and cooks in Democratic as well as Republican parties.

I just read an article in the Globe and Mail about Obama's dedication to the improvement of the education system, including the commitment to increased standardized testig, merit-based teacher rewards, and charter schools........building on the program initiated by George W. Bush.

(Yes, Bush did something right)

Education has long been a priority of Obama.........I may actually come to like this guy.

Stretch, from your posts it is clear that you just don’t like Obama, you would much rather McCain/Joan of Arc had won and continued with a third Bush term. Then why not just say so? Why the charade of claiming that he is not a US citizen, that he is an illegal alien?

By posting various news items about him, it is clear that you don’t like his views, his policies, perhaps the fact that he is black. Then why not just say so, why hide behind the facade of constitutionality? After all Bush acolytes never bothered about constitutionality when it came to Patriot act, possible torture of Gitmo prisoners, unconstitutional wiretapping etc. Why this sudden love of constitution?

uh huh.... Good for you. Keep watching him and you run the risk of your brain turning into mush

Tyr, maybe that happened long time ago. As to entertainment, I like low brow entertainment (Jerry Springer, Married with Children) as well as high brow one (Jeeves and Wooster, Gilbert and Sullivan):
