Trump will do what he wants, he was elected by saying and doing what he wanted. A wall, a fence, a committee to gather information on illegals, tax corporations leaving the US, etc.. I think he will do it, and he will make sure that every time he fulfills one of his promises, he will let the people who elected him know.

Pro-Trump town riled up after immigration officials arrest popular restaurant manager

A southern Illinois community that solidly backed President Donald Trump has rallied behind a Mexican restaurant manager who doesn't have legal permission to live in the U.S. and has been detained by immigration officials.

Letters of support for Juan Carlos Hernandez Pacheco have poured in from West Frankfort's mayor, police chief, high school athletic director and the county prosecutor. They describe Hernandez as a role model and praise his robust civil involvement, including funding school scholarships, benefit dinners for families in need and hosting a law enforcement appreciation event.

He was arrested at his home earlier this month and remains in custody at a U.S. Immigration Customs and Enforcement facility outside St. Louis. ICE officials did not explain why Pacheco was arrested, but noted his drunken-driving convictions from 2007.

Though the community largely backed Trump — who has made an aggressive stance on immigration central to his agenda and has promised to deport millions of immigrants who have no permission to live here — many residents of West Frankfort said Hernandez' case has complicated their views on immigration policy.

"I think people need to do things the right way, follow the rules and obey the laws, and I firmly believe in that," Lori Barron, the owner of a beauty salon, told The New York Times. "But in the case of Carlos, I think he may have done more for the people here than this place has ever given him. I think it's absolutely terrible that he could be taken away."

Yet another bunch of people unclear on the concept. Hey, you guys voted for him, he said this is what he was going to do, why are you surprised?

People voted to MAGA.

People that vote for slogans aren't very bright. Haven't you notice how not a single Trumpite can actually discuss policy in a reasonably intelligent way?

It's probably got nothing to do with Trump. Immigration officials were working before he got elected and are continuing to work.

A prominent Irishman who lived illegally in Boston for years has been deported, closing a case that has generated fear and anxiety within the state’s sizeable Irish expat community.

John Cunningham returned to Ireland on Wednesday night, a spokesman for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement confirmed on Thursday. The 38-year old electrical contractor had been in custody since he was arrested at his home on June 16.

Federal immigration officials have said Cunningham represented an “enforcement priority” because he overstayed a 90-day visa by more than a decade.

“His significant overstay was cause and reason enough,” ICE spokesman Khaalid Walls said last week. “Someone who overstays a visitor visa is flagrantly violating the granted benefit.”

Cunningham was subject to mandatory detention and wasn’t entitled to a hearing under the terms of the visa.

But advocates of the Irish community in Massachusetts, home to an estimated 12,000 of the nation’s 50,000 Irish living in the U.S. illegally, complained the punishment overlooked Cunningham’s positive contributions.

Cunningham, who didn’t immediately comment through his lawyer, had been a past chairman of the local Gaelic Athletic Association, which organized traditional Irish sports competitions. He had also appeared on a national news show in Ireland to share his experience of living in the United States illegally months before his arrest.

But Cunningham had also had a warrant for his arrest for failing to show up in court over a $1,300 dispute with a customer.
The Boston-based Irish International Immigrant Center said it’s “a sad day when our government imprisons immigrants who contribute so much to our country and society.”

“Like so many upstanding, hardworking and decent immigrants, John’s deportation makes no sense, and we are not any the more safer for not having him here,” center executive director Ronnie Millar said Thursday.

The Irish International Immigrant Center was among the groups that organized a rally in front of downtown Boston’s Irish Famine Memorial on Thursday in opposition to President Donald Trump’s immigration policies, including his sweeping crackdown on people living in the country illegally. Trump, a Republican, has said the policies are necessary and are meant to keep the nation safe.

Wait until all the whining Liberals are standing alone at the docks seeing their illegal friends departing for their country of origin. The flow of tears may be devastating to them. I have my Bugle ready to sound the Retreat when they sail off.

Docks? What era are you stuck in? I'm guessing from your post that would be about the 1930s when racism was rampant.

Crank up those Patrol, transport and other vehicular methods of transporting these welfare collecting illegals out of this once great nation. Get them out by the thousads. Call up the military if the job is too big. No thanks to Oabunco this has become a national tragedy.

I'm loving it. A vessel full of illegals from South America just departed the port (San Francisco) for 4 ports in the southern hemisphere. Columbia, Peru, Ecuador and Chile. Have a nice trip folks. Enjoy the scenery of the beautiful coast lines too.
