Rather than treat recreational weed like liquor I would prefer to see it treated like coffee.

You shouldn't be drinking coffee at your age, Flossy.

This video is a peek at where the medical cannabis market is headed.

Canadian companies are targeting a demographic beyond casual pot users by developing marijuana-based medicines in pill and inhaler form. The CEO of Scientus Pharma says their target market likely doesn’t have experience smoking weed. - CP

In my early 20s i was one of those raving maniacs.

Habitual use over a couple of years completely disrupted my academic and personal life as well as my sense of well being.. leaving me thinking maybe Reefer Madness had a point. It won't turn you into a axe murderer, but it can certainly derail your family, social and professional life just at the time when you should be getting those things in gear. I think a lot of young people are going to be sadly disillusioned by it.

I haven't had so much as a toke since i was 25.. and do not miss it. This is a very naive and irresponsible move by the Trudeau government... but what else is new.
That is you , but by the same token Ipersonally know many people that are considered as successful who partake daily . And have for years .

I have severe tinnitus and I tried everything, fan by the bed, white noise, radio, nothing worked. I couldn't sleep. Now I use weed. Couple puffs an hour or two before bed and I can sleep.

LOL, the majority of Canadians are OK with POT and so it's probably good to get THOSE votes.

I have the same tinitus problem but I'm hoping to get the pot in pill or inhaler format.... don't want to stink up the house!
While I sleep the radio works fine for me.....Falling asleep is the problem!

Yeah, I have a touch of it from running a saw, and driving scoots with straight pipe airplane engines on them too.
;)
The pot helps with getting to sleep, the tinnitus is one more distraction preventing that.

It can also help cheer up the ol' sex life too.
:)
(Hey Honey, those look pretty titsty! Can I munch on one of those for a minute?)

One hundred men interviewed about their sex lives said they had sex once a week, or once or twice a month. But one man said, "I have sex once every two years."

"You poor guy," said the psychologist.

The man laughed. "I'm ok. Tonight's the night!"

I've heard several people swear by marijuana for tinnitus. I'm curious as to how it helps. Does it simply make you drowsier at night so the constant ringing doesn't keep you up or does it actually reduce the ringing or whatever? I only ask because I also have tinnitus but have found that in my case marijuana doesn't do squat for it.

i had a good friend who died a very hard death in chronic pain. By the end the only thing that worked for him was liquid THC. It killed the pain without the bad side effects everything else has. It allowed him to remain awake and alert rather than just be knocked out.

I find that hard to believe. Not about the chronic pain, Flossy. It was the part about you having friends.

You might think its not affecting 'these people' but it is. My nephew smokes daily. I can always tell when he's stoned because he's such a nice kid when he's NOT. He's courteous, respectful, engaged, interesting.

After smoking up this alter ego takes over. He's willfully belligerent, obnoxious, loud, disconnected.. and boring. He's not even aware of the difference and he's almost 30 and has been smoking weed since he was 16. It seems to have gotten worse over time. This is not the benign 'love drug' the industry promotes.

Nasty, isn't it? I've seen something similar happen to someone near and dear to me. Whatever it may be, it sure as hell isn't either neutral or benign.

It's a cheap vehicle to attract votes, though.

This is becoming increasingly relevant in the medical community.

Weed next to candybars, Doug?

Shots have been fired.

Doug Ford’s comments on marijuana sales ‘reckless’: Wynne

Ontario’s premier is calling Doug Ford’s comments on marijuana sales “reckless” after the Tory leader suggested legalized pot be sold in places other than government-run stores.

Premier Kathleen Wynne says Ontarians don’t want “cannabis sold next to candy bars” in corner stores.

Ford, who was elected leader of the province’s Progressive Conservatives late Saturday, has told media outlets he’s open to greater privatization of marijuana sales, adding that the government should move slowly on the issue.

Wynne says her Liberal government did a lot of research before deciding on the plan to closely regulate the sale of cannabis once it’s legalized this year.

Ontario plans to roll out an initial wave of 40 government-run stores this summer, which are expected to grow in number to 150 by the end of 2020.

In January, the Ontario government inked a deal to use Shopify Inc.’s e-commerce platform for cannabis sales online.

Low Earth Orbit
100% private production and distribution in SK with no intent of it being a cash cow.

I should set up a mail order company because it's going to be a f-ck of a lot cheaper in SK than ON.
