So basically it will use robots as much as possible and the jobs are constructing the plant over 1 year and next to noting on the assembly lines and shipping and receiving.

Corporate welfare. Wonderful.
Less human workers also means the community misses out on wages coming in to the people as the robots wages revert to the owners rather than the community the building is in, even the power they use is profit for somebody outside of the community.

You must be confusing this with fossil fuel subsidies.
You can't possibly be that stupid. Market rate for hydro: 2.23 cents/Kwh. Price paid to whirlygig operators: 13 cents/Kwh
Price paid to solar operators: 80 cents/Kwh.

Do you even understand what a subsidy is?

You are incredibly stupid (as are three others apparently) and here's why:

I don't decry subsidies, I just don't believe in giving them to the oil industry.

But you are willing to give taxpayers money to a foreign company that could have built this plant anywhere in the world just to say that Ontario is investor friendly. Right. To top it off Ontario is so expensive a place to manufacture that they can afford to run gas turbine generators and beat electric prices. Are the taxpayers subsidizing the imported NG to run the turbines?
ANother fail.

You must be confusing this with fossil fuel subsidies.

Fossil fuels are not subsidized in Canada. But manufacturing in Ontario is.

No, he doesn't understand what a subsidy is.

He understands....it's when he gets to support sending other peoples tax dollars (have to be other people's because he doesn't pay taxes) to huge, profitable corporations in order to help destroy other corporations he doesn't like

It's all about creating a hype. Oil prices have been low for over a year now. Manufacturing better start coming back to Ontario soon, or we all can call this whole province a lame duck

Run them everywhere as soon as a tiny one is invented then the 'grid' would include households which means they would get a cheque at the end of the month instead of a bill and that system would survive any winter storm (with the least disruption)

14 years of downward spiral.
. . . .more like 140 years.
