People feed off controversy just to have something to forget that they have nothing much going for them.......

Can I join this asshology club?
I seem to have a thing of talking out of my ass lately :|

They weren`t in public..... the 18 year old is probably legal in her home province.
It is when there are doing it in public and taking picture with media smiling about. and for the fact she was not in her HOME TOWN.

No acuually i wouldn't. If the Americans had won and had done the same thing i would have given them a thumbs up. I LOVE the fact that the Canadian women won! But if the Americans had won? I would have given them my congrats as well! And why not? A game well played is a game well played. How hard is that to understand????
For the record? I'm SICK of the olympics. It has nothing to do with the original olympics, and even the original olymics, if you want to go back into antiquity, were freaken CORRUPT!
Take them for what they are - a pretty show paid for by various governments. Don't expect them to be magical, don't expect them to be the ultimate in anything! They are what they are.And yes, it's a shame but it's a fact.

There still problems with ioc to this day, taking away sports and plus you still would have a big fit if Americans did this. and i am sure usa would have a big problem with it it. if there were all underage.

Jeez, you'd better stay close to home if it bothers you that much. If you ever spent time in other countries (ones that aren't so intrusively uptight about things) you'd have a breakdown. I mean, imagine...a nice picnic in the park with all those impressionable young people watching others actually drinking alcoholic beverages! It happens a lot, but not in the U.S. and Canada - we have too many people here who would be shaking in fright, shock, and indignation over the fact that some people actually think they can make good, solid, independent decisions that don't result in the complete destruction of society.

Of course, these "other" countries have been around a hell of a lot longer than Canada and the U.S. - we're mere "babies" in that respect and we sometimes act like it...lots of crying about not much at all.

You suppose to follow laws in those conturines. and laws say that public drinking is wrong. don't even start comparing other countries. cause they got so many other problems. I don't see why you have a big problem with my opinion. I know its cause you know i got a point and just don't want to admit it.

you don't need to agree with me you can disagree different. its ok the problem is the underage drinking and smoking is a bad thing as well. athletes act like there above the law here.. and here they usually get away with things...

one more time...... let's look at legal age, federally, in Canada. Legal age in Canada is 18 years old. Just because you americans don't grow up till you're 21 doesn't mean the rest of the world is as slow.

If you must smoke, do it in private, not in public.

LOL, most people I know leave their house to have their smoke. Walk down the street and see the crowds of smokers hanging around outside the doors of office buildings. Expecting people to do their smoking in private is insanity.

Not sure if anybody has brought this up but I'm pretty sure this is not the first time this has occurred. I think it is tradition started in '72 when team Canada went out on the ice after the arena was shut down. I wouldn't be surprised if most of the winning Canadian teams have done this. I hope the Canadian men get a chance to do it and I hope they blow the smoke in Joey's direction.

I can't remember that. Interesting, if true!
