Will the Liberals return as the Natural Governing Party?

Trudeau is just a figurehead. The Liberal party will still be run by the back room boys making deals to their own advantage, granting favours to their cronies and pulling the wool over people's eyes.
There is definitely corruption in all parties to a degree but the Liberal party is the most corrupt ever.
These days nobody of character and good conscience would consider entering into politics as a career. It is a dirty, nasty game where nothing matters but power and anything is acceptable to achieve that power. That is why the country, even the whole world is in such a mess. There is nobody with a moral compass in charge anywhere.
Harper is the nearest thing we have seen in Canada for decades. His party may have flaws but he has remained squeaky clean himself. He has been sabotaged from within his own party over every scandal that he has had to face. Because he delegated and was betrayed.

You mean the scandal where they are accused of paying back 80K of tax payer money? Clearly you do not realized that the gov still has not been able to recover over 49 million from the liberal adscam scandal.
And recovered diddlysquat from Allan Rockhead's gun registry debacle.

And you don't think Harper ruled the PC party members with an iron fist??? Every politician is on a power trip, and unless the public can distinguish between what they say and what they might possibly do for us, we are lost and will go the way so many other democracies have gone world wide in recent years.

Can you name one?

Thailand. Many promising democratic starts, resulting from an election, overseen by the UN or other world organization, resulted in the elected politician fixing it so he or she became permanent ruler with no further elections.

Try counting how many of the countries around the world are actual democracies. And many of those are not strong ones.

I'm far less concerned with them paying back $90k than I am with them stealing it in the first place.

The Liberal party will still be run by the back room boys making deals to their own advantage, granting favours to their cronies and pulling the wool over people's eyes.
Same goes for the NDP and Cons.
There is definitely corruption in all parties to a degree but the Liberal party is the most corrupt ever.
To a degree? Corruption is corruption. It's like pregnancy, you either are or you aren't. If they are all corrupt why support any of them? Vote independent or Libertarian

Well if yo keep voting for corrupt people and parties you cannot expect things to change.
Harper is the nearest thing we have seen in Canada for decades. His party may have flaws but he has remained squeaky clean himself.
He has thrown so many of his henchmen under the bus the wheels no longer touch the ground. Anyone can sustain the illusion of 'squeaky clean' if their staff are willing to take the bullet. John Gotti was squeaky clean using this same strategy.
He has been sabotaged from within his own party over every scandal that he has had to face. Because he delegated and was betrayed.
Harper is not known to delegate, he gives orders. As such it is quite obvious he just used people to take the fall in order to maintain his image. If you happen to be correct and he knew nothing about any of it is he really qualified to be a leader when he cannot control his people, has no idea what they are doing and has so obviously used such poor judgement as to surround himself with criminals?

No I don't think the Liberals will return as the Natural Governing Party but
tomorrow they will return. Politics won't see long running dynasties for a
while and that is a good thing. Want to be the ruling party? Earn it.
We have a government that did not read the people and they are going to
pay for it just like the Liberals did before. It is also the last chance for the
two parties if this government of Trudeau fails the people will try the NDP.
Clearly they won't. This election was theirs to win. They had a Drama Teacher who can't keep his foot out of his mouth and a PM who the left does not like as his opponents. Yet people would not vote for them. The NDP is toast as anything more than a #3 opposition party (unless they find a way to bring Jack Layton back from the dead).

I wonder how much scraping the F35 will cost us?
