What progressive churches meet your standard.
None.
Except Gnostic ones of my ilk of course. LOL.
I do recognize the good works some churches do for community but none teach of God as they should. They all promote a specific God and I see that as idol worship. From my Gnostic Christian POV, God, when found, should be set aside, the level of excellence raised up and the seeking to continue. To have God as perfect and unchanging is idol worship.
If literalist and fundamental Christians do not do this, they end as what we have now. Good people who follow and pray to a genocidal son murdering God who promotes human sacrifice and thinks it a good policy to punish the innocent instead of the guilty.
Quite immoral policies FMPOV.

What is in the Bible has been re written dozens of time to fit the moral and political views
of those entrusted with the document. This also holds true for most of the great religious
books. Religion is not about a spiritual journey its about the ongoing political view of the
world.
Back in the time of Christ Rome was a vast right wing fascist state and Jesus spoke against
it. Now the Conservatives have control of the Christian movement and have had since
Constantine governed Rome. Christ would even recognize the movement he started if he
came back today.
You are buying into the traditions and politics instead of the meaning of the religion itself.
And screaming against the Bible nets little in a rising profile for thousands of others have
taken the road before you and there is no answer to the questions asked.
We would not argue much about religion because we both recognize I think that it has gone away from a good Jesus perspective to a more evil one.
As to questioning what is.
For evil to grow, all good people need do is nothing.
Do not ask good people to do nothing.

I cannot think of 1 moral quandary a person may face in life that is not addressed by the teachings of Jesus.
I think his, let no man put asunder as a divorce law is quite anti-love and would argue my point if you should choose to engage.
I also offer the issues spoken of in this clip if you prefer one of his issues.

God doesn't hate baby's, so your question is moot.
A good way to not have to think. Burry your head in the sand.
I would argue that he does and would argue that his hardening of Pharaoh's heart to insure he would murder the first born of Egypt shows his hate of childrenn and babies if you care to come out of your hole and defend your God.
I also offer the bible scriptures.
Romans 9:11-13
King James Version (KJV)

12 It was said unto her, Theelder shall serve the younger.
13 As it is written, Jacobhave I loved, but Esau have I hated.

Why do atheists quote the Bible more more than any bible thumping televangelist i have ever seen on the tube???
Because they quote the money makers while other more moral people do not have money in mind but are concerned with truth and morality.
I am not an atheist by the way but if that belief gives you comfort then by all means, add another lie with your delusion of your God.
