Sure it does. Bush will always be blamed for the unemployment in 2009. That has nothing to do with how much time passes, Bush is responsible for the 2009 unemployment. Obama will be responsible for what happens 2010 on.
And make no mistake about it, if people become convinced that economy is indeed on the mend, Republicans will be in serious trouble in November.
If he had decided to run, he had a very good chance of getting elected. He said that he has fulfilled his promise to enact health care reform, which he made 18 years ago (when he was first elected). I see no reason to doubt him.
And if you are looking at retirement, probably as many Republicans are retiring as Democrats. Democrats just don't use the schoolyard tactics that Republicans do, claiming that any politician who decides to retire is afraid of reelection. Stupak is very popular in his constituency and would have had no trouble getting reelected, in spite of the teabagging hatemongers.

In an interview on Fox News, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin took aim at the new doctrine of nuclear retaliation that the White House outlined in what is known as the Nuclear Posture Review. The recently announced shift would rule out nuclear attacks on countries that have signed the nuclear nonproliferation treaty in cases where they attack the U.S. with non-nuclear weapons. It does not rule out nuclear attacks on countries like North Korea and Iran who have not signed onto the nonproliferation treaty. Even so, Palin said that it all put her in mind of an ineffectual tactic in a schoolyard fight.

On a quick look, the percentage of black tea partiers (only hate-mongering idiots use the offensive term "tea baggers") is about the same as the percentage of blacks who voted for Johm McCain.
The rest of blacks appear to be perfectly happy with Obama, and will remain so until they realize that Obama will not pay their rent, buy their groceries, make their car payments and educate their kids.

But don't the Republicans always claim this? In 2006 and 2008 also, Democrats were running scared, Obama was deathly afraid of McCain. Democrats were deathly afraid of Republicans, Republicans were going to sweep the election.
Republicans make this claim every election, it is nothing new.
Quite so, the percentage is about 4%. We finally agree on something. Tea Party movement is predominantly white, predominantly male, predominantly old. It represents the traditional Republican base.

While it doesn't necessarily reflect the outcome of the Tea Party membership the figures (the table I have offered is from 2008) it might have a bearing on the ratio of white/black which appears to be the primary argument here.
If one were to reduce the actual membership of the Tea Party to the ratio of white/black in the USA in might reflect a more substantive number (I think ahem)... So to arrive an an accurate proporate number some mathematical genius might have to do some computing to get the picture....

White population: 228.2 million (75%)
Black population: 37.6 million (12.4%)

12 % blacks sounds about right. Tea Party is 4% black. What this means is that there are three times as many blacks in the country as there are teabaggers. Which is another way of saying that Tea Party is predominantly a white movement.
