an obvious increase in starving children is a direct result in the increase in atheism worldwide.

i don't think religion or lack of it plays a great roll in children starving.
The biggest toll is unrelenting conflicts by the zealots of the religious
orders of life. Most Christians I know are pretty generous and so are
Sikhs they are there at the community level doing what they can as
well.
There are people with a bible in their hand every day and preaching
everyday in their community, what they preach is their own view of
religion and in my view many would not know Christ if they tripped over
him. There are many others that live their faith and go about their
business unannounced.
Some Christians are not very Christian and some Muslims don't really
represent their faith as there are Jews and others.
But yes there are a number of Christians are not very Christian but not
all are like this

More than obvious. I'm surprised they waited a few years and went the horrendous suffering route instead of butchering them in the womb.

So am I. They managed to convince Canada to do it going on 27 years or so. You'd think they'd be able to change that in the backward countries so much easier. I guess that would be an example of how stupid they are.

I rather doubt it while YOU are still a good two or three light years ahead of Cliffy! :) :) :) :)

That's only because you lack the ability to follow the conversation. Like this one for example, where Gerry is actually suggesting that increased atheism and poverty go hand in hand. I know you more than most, need to make it about me but really, do you actually agree with Gerry's nuttery?

It is the exact opposite. If you took a map of the world and shaded it from most religious to least and then another map poorest to wealthiest, the maps would be remarkably similar. We don't even have to get into catholic areas and the improvement economically when the populations told the church to f@&k off started wearing condoms

Why do those people let Christians starve their children when they could just butcher them in the womb?

Why do you need to tell the Church to f off. I just withdrew my membership. Simple as that. Now as for any special legal status for this or that church, that's another matter.

Oh, I don't know. Providing young women around the world with easy access to contraception would reduce the number of starving children pretty dramatically but "people of faith" all over the world prevent that from happening, believing that it runs contrary to their creeds. Atheists don't drag all of that iron age morality around with them (and neither should people of "faith" if they really have faith).
