Why are many Christians so intolerant of other religions and spiritual paths?

Buddhists believe all teachings and religions that promote love and compassion come from the same source.
That source is a discussion in and of itself.
It involves the Mahayana concept of The Buddha Turning the Dharma Wheel and all these teachings and religions appear through out the universe. It doesn't actually matter if one is centered on God the Creator or centered on there is no God Creator.
The effect of producing love and compassion in the sentient being is the goal. and both beliefs are produced by the turning of The Dharma Wheel. It's hard to fathom that complete opposite views can both be from the same Teacher.
What we believe in doesn't really matter, what we think, do , and say in this life is what really matters.
Intolerance is a virtue which builds character. Of course you must be discriminating in it's application.

Most people live in virtual reality and are not even aware that they are. All the great teachers came to try to wake us up from that dream - the nightmare of fear and control. People are waking up and soon virtual reality will dissolve and disappear. Time to wake up folks.
