If we're going to start enforcing standards of language, can we start with grammar and spelling?

If you want to swear, go ahead, but at least learn to spell properly. I think we should start PM campaigns, and have people banned because they can't spell.

Are you prejudiced against the uneducated?

I think if we can speak well about a person when he dies, then perhaps to balance it off we should be able to speak badly. Let's just take it to the extreme, the deceased murdered five of my grandkids, to speak well of him would be a tad hypocritical of me, I would think.

Yes he is...so long as they aren't his friends.

If we're going to establish standards of behaviour based on one set of ideas on how to behave, then I want my standards added to the list.
To late, he's already established his code as the supreme standard.

Nope- I've made that abundantly clear as a matter of fact I've quote Rousseau several times just to drive home that point. The only person I establish standard of behaviour for is myself and by the same token standards from others that I accept as they pertain to me or my friends and relatives. You can add any of your own standards without hurting my feelings.

Speak for yourself.
Why would I? You want to do that for everyone. You are subjugating everyone else' standards for your own. In doing so, circumventing free speech and fair and equal treatment.

You and your friends can do and say what they wish, so long as it does not 'hurt' you.

While anyone that does, should be silenced.

Great standards JLM.

Again, as witnessed in your cry baby thread, your standard, applies to those of whom you disagree with. You may not disagree with what they say, but you disgaree with how they say it. In the end, you are supporting and attempting to impose censorship on those you disagree with.

End of story.

You can say all the enlightened and thoughtful things about yourself that you want. You exposed your true colours in two threads now.

Here let me refresh your memory...

I'm NOT blind to S.J.'s traits, but they don't hurt me.

So long as it doesn't hurt you, you don't care. But when it does, look out. Childish campaigns to have people banned, threads filled with lies, hypocricy and BS.

When you start calling out everyone that violates the standard codes of conduct. Come back and talk to me. But so long as you apply it unfaily, unevenly, without integrity and with a heavy helping of bias, you get nothing but my contempt.

eta: I noticed you didn't colour this in red...

Michael was a child molester and Farrah used he body to in a sexual way like the poster for fame and glory

Michael made good music

Farrah was a good actress

So one can conclude that they were equals and must be respected equally

Michael Jackson was a child molester.

Depends, officially you might have a hard time selling that, as far as personal plans (a moot point now) I would draw that conclusion before sending my grandkids over for a sleepover.........
