Look Karrie I know we are a hand full of liberals on this site, and the rest are all Conservatives here, none the less I have no problem defending my self when it comes to one side opinion…You refuse to see things as they are……………..typical of Conservative thinking. The Liberals are the National identity of Canada. You or anyone else including Harper cant change that…………………..The fact is the Liberals can offer a better style Government then that of the Conservatives……………All political parties rise and full, reality will dictate that Liberalism is a far better alternative that that of the Conservatives……

If you are not a member of the Conservative party, then why is it difficult for you to except the fact that had the Conservatives not gone into hiding for 13 long years, the Liberals would not govern the way they did at the end of their 13 years of landslide power. I do not condone the sponsorship scandal, but I was very happy like the majority of Canadians and gave the Liberals 3 landslide victories…..Had the sponsorship scandal taken place the first 4 years of the Liberal mandate the out come would have been deferent, but that did not happened…..Also Jean Chrétien paid his taxes on time…….where Mulroney played stupid for a while and had the German arms dealer not opened his yap Mulroney for sure would have run for the gates of tax evasion……

I like you just fine Socrates. I just don't buy into the notion that the scandal can be written off as someone else's fault. Playing pass the buck throughout our politics, rather than demanding our politicians stand up and be accountable for their actions, does nothing more than create a future of more corruption. What the liberals did has nothing to do, and is not excused, by what anyone else has done.
