Interesting info. thanks for that, I'm not disagreering or agreeing with you, but I can't wait to read the replys, 'get ready'.
Is that 3 months from conception or birth? It is my understanding that this is only a mean time line, that some entities may vary depending on if they are in a hurry or not to be born. I don't think we can generalize on such matters, because, let's face it, it is still just speculation and not a commonly held belief that we have an astral body. Although I am well versed in metaphysical matters, we also have to take into account that we co-create reality with a majority of people who do not believe in metaphysical matters or even are aware of them.:canada:
Eurika! I found it.
What we have here are two parallell lives and the rebirth cycle: the life of the physical body and the life of the trancending body. Some call it the spirit body, I prefer a borrowed term, the astral body. When the physical body dies the astral one detaches carrying with it relevant information the physical brain has collected. On the other end of the spectrum, for humans at birth, the astral body bonds to it at approx. three month. This is the beginning of you or I as a person rather then the living tissue in the womb.
My work is with parapsychology and dream interpretation. Dreams are telepathy in the sleeping state and being a very visual person works best for me. I worked out the rebirth cycle, which also applies to plant and animal life. Who sends us where and why, how muc free will do we have, etc. I am satisfied it is a well rounded study that takes you right up to the physics of bonding and bond breaking.

Which is what the OP asked. I don't understand why some feel a need to steer the debate to when it becomes a human. It was mildly interesting.
Anyway, back to the topic: life (individually) begins when the first cell begins to divide and replicate. Till then it is between life and non-life. After cellular division it is definitely alive.

yes, but the egg and sperm are alive before they join as well, but that is not 'life'. I'm not
argueing your point, because it is an interesting one, and don't actually know the answer, if there
is actually an answer, maybe it's just what we want it to be.
"We"? Speak for yourself. You mean you haven't a clue when life begins.Quite so and the poll does not give the option that I support, we don't know when life begins.
I think eggs and sperm are like viruses; stuck between life and non-life. Viruses can only reproduce under the condition that they are in a host cell. Sperm and eggs are cells but of their own volition cannot reproduce. So basically, genetic science is saying that life is self-replicating under normal circumstance independent of other life.yes, but the egg and sperm are alive before they join as well, but that is not 'life'. Like I said, speak for yourself, twit. You sure don't speak for science or me.Just what I have been saying all along, there is no answer. we don't know when life begins. But according to our biases and prejudices, we come up with an answer (and the more narrow minded insist that everybody must accept the same answer).

Yes, and that leaves us just where I suggested, that it is our own decision, after studying whatever we
study, when life begins, because it is grey area.
egg and sperm are alive, they just need a jump start to create a life between them, can't do it by themselves,
so that still leaves me 'not' sure just when that lifeform actually becomes a human life.
and then of course the religious come in and tell us where the 'bear sh*t in the buckwheat', and we must
all stand to attention and breath a sigh of relief, and be so grateful they have let us in on a marvelous
secret, balogna, I don't listen to them, they are living in a dream world,so I will search my own sources.

Is an unfertilized chicken's egg "alive"? Or is it in a prelife state showing some signs of life?----------------------------------------------------------------------"We"? Speak for yourself. You mean you haven't a clue when life begins.

Air moves. Is it alive?
I can accept that as your opinion, but I do not have to agree with it.everything inside of our bodies is alive.
