To quote Lance Winslow: "It is truly amazing that people slander the United States of America and tell us that the United States is involved in the most number of wars. Then the next week when a war breaks out in the Middle East between Hezbollah and Israel the same people demand that the United States of America intervene with military force to protect the innocent life.
What hypocrisy indeed? If the US has become the Worlds Watch Dog then they will be somehow involved in a number of wars. The number of people in prison is because we do not shoot and kill dissidents here. I stand tall and repeat; The United States of America is the Greatest Nation in the history of Mankind and it blows away even the tales of Atlantis and other mythological past civilizations. I win this argument and declare victory complete and total.
It is not right and it is unacceptable for the people of the world to slander this great nation on the Internet and forums and on blogs. Of course the United States of America will be involved in many wars but that is not because the United States of America is a hostile country; it is because the world is a hostile place with humans, which need to grow up and get with the program."

No question the Best Motivational speech ever.

Interesting that one would remind themselves that the US and ANIMAL house have so much in common.

Not too shabby to bring up such a paralleled. Almost shows some genuine insight.

(even if the topic has NOTHING to do with "motivational speeches". but that also defines how differnt the american highly programmed/ conditioned mind works. short attention spans being what they are...

And this post pretty much defines your obsession with the US. It's unhealthy yet amusing.

PS. Animal House is a comedy. Does the "Final Sacrifice" define Canada?

No, just that there is still humor in this world. There are people who are jealous of what we have in the U.S. and only throw daggers at us. When morning comes we are still here. We are a big enough nation to forgive them.

Americans invade mid-asia countries with an excuse of "pursuing peace". They owe trillions of debts with an excuse of "saving economy". They reasonablize their sins every time! God bless America and Canada, Peace.

Do you think its the greatest nation ever?
Do this nation offer more land better living conditions that any other country in the world?
what do you think?

Assuming you want a serious answer I will give you a serious answer.
Yes, the United States is a great country. Possible the greatest country in the world. Considering the short time since it won its independence, it has accomplished more than than any other nation comparatively.
I have travelled quite a bit in the States and in Europe, and I found the standard of living in the U.S. superior to other countries I visited.
Compared to Canada, I believe our standards of living are equal. What goes in the U.S. goes in Canada but we have one tenth the population, therefore everything here is one tenth smaller, ie the crime rate.
I'm very grateful for the U.S. as a neighnour. Safe, friendly and much like our own societies.

You do realize that Delta Tau Chi was very anti war, don't you?

When you're going to try an insult a nation or member, you should try and not expose your inadequacies in the process.

Not too shabby to bring up such a paralleled.
"Paralleled"?

You didn't say "US politics", you said "the US"...

But don't let the facts get in the way of your own version of reality.

BTW: Your irrational, generalized, anti Americanism, and 'overstated' attacks on the 'US', is an excellent example of weaponizing the net. I find it considerably funny, that you beat the US to it.

carry on...

I don't think anyone but United Statians believe that they are superior. Came across this today in relation to comparing Casey Anthony to Amanda Knox:

"Our justice system is the most fair, the most respected in the world. We know that. Criminal justice systems around the globe are either common, civil, religious or socialist."

The majority of the people in the US, including all talking heads, believe that there was a failure in the justice system but they cannot say that without disparaging their own profession, so they say that because someone got away with murder, it proves that the system works. What kind of backward speak is that ... only in the US, they say.

Not all matters can be resolved in courtroom | matters, resolved, anthony - Clovis News Journal

The justice system in the US is not viewed as superior to all others by any stretch of the imagination.

Do you have any idea what you are saying, yes your court system is legendary, but only in your own mind. Most may have not liked the verdict in the Casey Anthony trial, but it is that same law that frees an innocent person. There was only circumstantial evidence, and you cannot convict someone with that. Amanda Knox was found guilty, and part of that evidence was her DNA on the murder weapon, one cannot compare the two cases.

Plugging in the car is the key to knowing if someone is Canadian. Anyone from California or Texas will think that people that plug in the car probably use an outhouse ... like ... maybe they're nuts.

Yes, I have some idea about what I am writing.

My only point is that people from the United States today continue to believe that they are superior. Contemporary articles are published in the United States by people claiming that the justice system in the United States is superior and respected everywhere. The funny thing about the article I linked it that the author goes on to criticize other justice systems, but doesn't demonstrate why he believes his system is is superior. By criticizing other justice systems, the author hopes that the reader assumes that the US system is superior ... cuz it's not criticized, eh.

Circumstantial evidence has convicted people, justifiably so, for centuries. To suggest that it is not valid in the conviction of Ms Anthony is absurd ... even the author acknowledges that the only way to free murderer Knox is to judge her by the same standards as Ms Anthony.

Don't you find it bizarre that propaganda claims that the system works because a murderer is set free?

I'm thinking that you never saw that Canadian list of why Canada is the best. It used to be very popular here. My favorite was...

Americans think they are the best, Canadians know they are the best.
