I don't think anyone but United Statians believe that they are superior. Came across this today in relation to comparing Casey Anthony to Amanda Knox:
"Our justice system is the most fair, the most respected in the world. We know that. Criminal justice systems around the globe are either common, civil, religious or socialist."
The majority of the people in the US, including all talking heads, believe that there was a failure in the justice system but they cannot say that without disparaging their own profession, so they say that because someone got away with murder, it proves that the system works. What kind of backward speak is that ... only in the US, they say.
