The Ramones - ground breaking group is correct. When they played it was clear they had a lot of fun on stage and the entire crowd was all fired up. Great music, great times in the NYC Rock scene.

not sure how I'd describe it but 60's movie and tv soundtrack jazz...way better than actual jazz club fodder...that cool-a s s, smooth, gettin' all sophisticated jazz...that's what I like...whatever the hell that means.

I know there are a few members that are still a little wet behind the ears (born in the 80's), nevertheless if you have a favorite post it..

Jesus Christ Superstar - Superstar - YouTube

When I was driving my New Chevy Van headed north on Golden State highway 5 in California in 1975, I had 4 eight track tapes I loved to listen to. The Eagles, Gordon Lightfoot, Neil Young and Janis Ian. Those were my favorites.

Roy Orbison for one Budddy Holly, Rolling Stones the Animals Bob Dylan
Johnny Horton, Johnny Cash Carly Simon, Janis Joplin Blind Faith,
Chad and Jeromy Zeppelin Sam Cooke Leroy Van Dyke Patsy Cline
Lonnie Donnigan Kingston Trio James Brown Four Tops Chuck Berry
Jan and Dean and the Beach Boys
Except for a few songs I didn't care for Elvis or the Beatles there was so
much more that got overlooked in my opinion.
Mind you we have enough old music country, rock jazz blues and 40's pop
to play music for a year without playing the same song twice. That's what
happens when you were in broadcasting for over three decades.
Three of my rock favorites
Seas of Joy Blind Faith
Her Satanic Majesties Request The Rolling Stones
Free Wheelin' Bob Dylan

Country

Johnny Hortons Greatest Hits
Johnny Cash the Sun Collection
Merle Haggards Greatest Hits

Leroy Vandyke and Lonnie Donegan were excellent, not to mention Sheb Woolley. "Auctioneer", "My Old Man's a Dustman" and "That's my Pa".

Beatles. Still like them, and it's great to be able to listen to them wiht my kids, because kids love Beatles music.
Stones, especially Exile on Main Street. Can't listen that with the kids though. Like I told my boy: "Son, you gotta have your heart broken at least once before you get the Rolling Stones."

Loved all the prog rock. Probably why I'm a prog. Genesis/Peter Gabriel, Floyd, Rush, Steppenwolf, Deep Purple.

For folkier stuff, Johnny Cash, Doc Watson and Merle Haggard are three greats.
