Short answer, kill Taliban and Al Qeada. Kill'em all and then have a good look around here for their supporters.
I beliieve their first objective should be the total eradication of the poppy fields.

IS this a serious question?
Did the US invade Afghanistan for an imaginary pipeline or did something else cause us to go into Afghanistan?
Opiates are the best pain-relief drugs on earth.
They should not eradicate poppy fields, that just alienates a very poor people, inspires them to provide aid and comfort to anti-foreigners.....whomever they are......they should buy the poppies........make opiates much cheaper.

Yes, serious question. The USA attacked Afghanistan to catch Osama. Aha Are they still looking for Osama? The USA attacked Iraq -Weapons of mass destruction?
Imaginary WMD in Iraq! Get Osama in Afghanistan. Those are your truths smack.
No we haven't got Osama yet and those weren't the only reasons to go into Afghanistan. They Taliban Govt. was given an option, they refused and that was that.

According to the American bipartisan commission on 9/11, and as reported in The Guardian, March, 24, 2004, a Bush-White-House decision to invade Afghanistan was made prior to September 11, 2001.
Quote
At a meeting of the Bush administration's top national security officials on September 10 (2001), a three-phase strategy was agreed.
The Taliban would be presented with a final ultimatum to hand over Bin Laden. Failing that, covert military aid would be channelled to anti-Taliban groups. If both those options failed, "the deputies agreed that the United States would seek to overthrow the Taliban regime through more direct action."
However, the three-step process would have taken up to three years, and did not represent an immediate attack plan.
The next day, hijacked planes destroyed the World Trade Centre and hit the Pentagon, triggering the launch of an anti-Taliban offensive in October and the Taliban's fall a month later.
