Well cut the bleeding - pun intended.

Can a god and pious man who does not believe in God enter Heaven?
If, when you say "Heaven" you also mean the Kingdom of God, well then no.
Just before Jesus ascended for the last time before His 2nd coming, He told the apostles that He was going to prepare a place for them in the Father's mansion. Why would He prepare a place for those who do not want anything to do with Him?
But hey, let's take a break from the debate and I'll share a joke about some people's concept of Heaven....

It the story of the two brothers (not in the bible). One of them lived a very upright life, always doing good to everyone, the other well, the complete opposite. The "evil" brother suddenly dies. Several years later, the "saintly" brother dies and goes to Heaven. In Heaven, he asks Saint Peter if he could please see his brother who died years earlier. Saint Peter points to a screen where the good brother sees the bad brother with a bottle of booze in one hand and a beautiful blond on his lap. "Well, I thought that my brother was in the BAD place, but this doesn't look like it to me" he tells Saint Peter. "Things aren't always as they seem", he replied "the bottle has a hole in it and the blond doesn't". Gotta go for now. I'll check out the Lions when I get home since I don't have YouTube at work. It's been a good day after all. Regards,

I don't think anyone thinks gerry has impunity, he's been on time out more times than I can remember. But he's still allowed to have opinions, he just states his in rather unprettified ways. Doesn't make them less valuable than mine. Or yours.

I'm pleasantly surprised that you think my opinion is just as valuable as yours or anyone else! That's all I ask.

Yeah, I know how that works. Nobody knows what they mean when they're first uttered, then centuries later something happens and people point at it and say, "That's what prophecy X must have meant." Prophecies that nobody understands until after they've been fulfilled don't seem to have much point to them, and the prophecies themselves are vaguely worded enough that any number of events could be retrofitted to them. You might also consider that the people writing the New Testament would have been aware of the Old Testament prophecies and could have fictionalized their records of events to make them appear to be fulfilments. And in some cases we know that they did; I suggest you check out Dr. Bart Ehrman's books Forged and Misquoting Jesus, he's a biblical scholar of some renown, the James A. Gray Distinguished Professor of Religious Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

The Bible is not what you think it is. Might as well rely on Nostrademus, you're way too credulous, uncritical, and uninformed.

It's the depressing bleakness of that false dichotomy and the parallel view that humanity by nature is depraved, sick, and devoid of merit without divine intervention (and that logically has to be the omniscient designer's fault, doesn't it?), that really puts me off your version of Christianity. There's at least one more option: you can think for yourself and be a slave to nobody and nothing.

We live in a fallen, cursed world. I don't even need to make an argument for that. Look around. There's sickness, poverty, evil actions etc. You don't want to believe in the inherited sinful nature of man because you don't want to face your own sin imo!

As for the fallen world being the fault of a omniscient designer, let me ask you this: When you found out that you were going to be a father, didn't you know that one day your child would disobey and disappoint you? Did it make you want to not be a father?

that really puts me off your version of Christianity.

 I don't have a "version" of Christianity. I would only tell you what the bible says.

There's at least one more option: you can think for yourself and be a slave to nobody and nothing.

There is a way that seems right to a person, but eventually it ends in death. (Proverbs 14:12)

What version of the bible?

What do you mean? The "versions" of the bible are only different translations that all say the same thing.

Judas betrayed Jesus for 30 silver shekels.

Judas betrayed Jesus for 30 silver coins.

For the record, I collect bibles so I actually have most of the different translations.

King James,
English Standard
New International

etc.

So according to your religious beliefs what about all the good people that have never heard of Jesus. Are they off to Hell.

What kind of decent Christian refers to his fellow posters as "sinners"? Do I detect a tad of hypocrisy?

I was just trying to get some response if any....didn't want any of you to fall asleep...I never said that I was HOLY or anything. Although our Lord commands us to try to be holy, I fail everyday. I am a sinner and that's what I do best. How about you?

I don't believe you could answer any questions, day, or night.
Love it TenP....are you searching? Because you know, there are answers and if you really search with all of your heart, you will find what you are looking for.

Can you or can you not answer the question. If you do not have an answer that is fine.

I've found everything I've looked for. You seem to have trouble with your self image, yet you like to tell everyone else how to live, what to think, and what to believe. That speaks of a vast sense of inadequacy. You might want to seek therapy.

Well that's why we send missionaries out to the uttermost parts of the world. As far as I can see, everyone has heard of Jesus, know Him by name and what He did on the cross. How many believe? Well that's another story. If you hear His call today, do not harden your heart for you know not at what hour you may be extinguished. After death, it's too late. Ask Him into you heart today and ask for forgiveness of sins (past, present and future) and He will accept you into His Kingdom as He did with the theif on the cross. You will be transported into Heaven immediately. God bless.

Fact - Not all have heard of Jesus - Go back to his time. What about those in other countries such as North and South America - Africa - and so on.
