Of course we had our third big wind storm blow through 2 hours before game time yesterday and naturally the power went out. Woke up this morning to find that the Pens won the game and that Pekka was pulled again.....after what Matt went through in Smashville, I can't say as I have any sympathy for him. Will be watching Stanley Cup rewind this afternoon - weather permitting to see just how good my guys were.

Of course the wind has picked up just before the start of Game 6. All day it has been sunny and warm with a few high clouds and nary a breeze. I'm beginning to think the gods of hockey are conspiring to prevent me from actually watching the games live.

Kudos to Penguins!

Good to see the referees refrain from making their usual ticky tacky calls and from repeatedly chasing players away from the face offs. My ideal is when they just allow the players to play and this is what they did tonight for a great Stanley Cup finale.

The more I heard the sports commentators talk about this going to a game 7, the more I felt that my Penguins were going to do it tonight. Like I said, much earlier in the play-offs, I had a feeling that Sid would like nothing better than to bookend his season with another Cup and that's just what he and his teammates - minus Chris Letang and Nik Bonino - did. The Preds were wonderful competitors and I give them full credit for fighting all the way. What a joyous victory this is for Pittsburgh and the Penguins.

I totally agree that the Preds were robbed of a goal by a whistle that was way too quick, spammie.........BUT, the Preds had 4 PP chances that included a back to back with just under a minute of 5 on 3 and they couldn't get the job done. Murray was the only person who stood in their way and in Pekka's barn, Murray - a rookie - was the star.

As far as any further expansion teams and I'm taking it to mean into Canada, that won't happen as long as that little prick Buttman is at the helm.
