It looks like nothing more than a fungus or lichen to me. The question, of course, is where it came from ... so maybe some Canadian Environmentalist can take up the cause, and then the Gov't. can decide what portion of the results we, the people, should be allowed to know. Conspiracy theorists can claim it's radiation poisoning while others may believe a new life form has arrived from outer space. Imagine if the Orange Goo slurped itself together and had a face - then we'd know it was an extraterrestrial.
