There is little Helium 3 on earth, but there is an abundance of it on the moon, and coincidently it's a 21st century fusion fuel.
Living in space is one serious problem as the body weakens. It is something that will have to be worked on to improve chances of long term exploration. This will be a whole new field to improve the health of astronauts.
Bypass them all and dump a half trillion dollars into the Pacific Ocean over the deep end.
get the basics for a new population on the moon, spray "RAID" on good old Mother Earth, then start all over.

Never mind simply exploiting the moon's resources. If we ever want to go to Mars and have a chance, we should be practicing on the moon first to get things right. If there is an emergency there's at least a shot at saving them. Not so on Mars. Let's make sure the concepts and technology actually work properly first.

With that crack expanding in the near side of the moon people should be a bit concerned if a volcano on the moon would cover the earth in the magma that is caught by the earth's gravity rather than falling back onto said moon. Make it a big one and the sooner the better. If we are destined to be fukked over the elite might as well be part of other than rather being the cause.
