Watch 136 Years of Climate Change in New NASA Video

We’ve already talked about how 2016 kept up with the three-year trend of successively higher global temperatures each year. Now, NASA has given us a way to watch the climate change over the course of nearly a century and a half.

It is clear to see in this video that the world is much warmer than it was even 50 years ago, let alone over a century into its past. According to NASA, “Most of the warming occurred in the past 35 years, with 16 of the 17 warmest years on record occurring since 2001.”

The trend is clear. We cannot continue to warm at our current trajectory. Despite the current surge in support for climate change denial, the facts remain the same: man-made climate change is a real threat to humanity and the planet as a whole. Should this warming trend persist, we will continue to see extinctions of both animals and plants at modernly unprecedented rates. Oceans will continue to be sapped of life-sustaining oxygen, and tropical forests will continue to disappear, only to multiply the effects of a warming globe.

Even large companies are urging for the support of renewable energy given the longterm and even immediate monetary benefits, so with the bottom line and the needs of the environment now in alignment, we can only hope more will be done to mitigate this epic problem on a bigger scale.

Northern Ontario,
I've always said I was against pollution....air, water and land!
It's the long jump to man made global warming, that's bullshite.........

The following has noting to do with global warming.....it's water pollution plain and simple

I was actually happy to see recycling come to Kapuskasing this year...
I only have to put my garbage to the road every third week instead of every week....

Careful, you're slipping..

You might actually start to see the connection with man and it's environment ... I mean all that plastic can effect a whole eco-system how can a 1 billion cars and exhaust fumes, plants bellowing smog and pollutants cause the same kind of environment impact in our atmosphere. It's just ludicrous or is it?

Interesting clipping from 1912 talking about the future perils due to so much coal being burned.

Unfortunately the link between CO2 and temperature is that temperature goes up or down, and CO2 follows it.
Just zoom in on the chart In Al Gores first movie - while he stands there lying right to every ones' face about that, saying the opposite of course.

It's one of the reasons it can't be shown labeled as a documentary in some countries - it has to be labeled FICTION.
It's also one of the reasons Michael Mann lost in court to Tim Ball, Canada's senior climate PHD.

Here, lets look a little further back to before man had anything to do with it

oh look...climate change...and NOT because of CO2

As gas that is no more that 0.04% of the whole atmosphere does not drive climate change.

Notice that nobody is claiming the heat from all that burning is a factor in global warming. How much heat does 10M cars put into the atmosphere??

You got a link to the data they used as some locations they have data for didn't have any people there let alone weather stations?
