What I do not get from the Global warming deniers is that even if you can not comprehend it to believe it, why go against trying to protect the environment? Do you just get off throwing garbage in the streets? Even if the theory is wrong (that it aint) why be against an ideal that tries to protect our Earth's ecosystem.
Also to the deniers. What is your theory of humans putting so much gas in our finite atmosphere. For every action there is a reaction. I ask to the deniers, What is the reaction of putting all this C02 in the atmosphere, and what is the effect cutting our trees down and putting less oxygen in our air? Do you have a better answer. If so put it through scientific rigor and see if it succeeds.

Weather and Climate is one of the most difficult things to predict in science because of the choas effect. (A butterfly flapping its wings in Brazil creates a hurricane in China for example.) so many tiny variables. According to theorists, if we had a sensor for weather in every square meter of Earth we still could not predict the long range weather that great, cause small unseen disturbances build up exponentially over time (eg our population) So this and the infinite amount of other factors like ocean temp and co2 absorption make accurately predicting the short term effects of global warming very hard.
But the basics of what increasing our atmosphere with green house gasses does, is certain. It is physics, the most accurate of the sciences. It traps in the infrared radiation emitted by the Earth, thereby increasing the atmospheres temperature. The more gas you put in the more heat it stores. With this extra heat, think about a pot of water slowly cumming to a boil as the air in our atmosphere. It starts off smooth then starts to swirl and boil. You get more extreme weather, winds and storms before finally ending in a boiling wasteland.
What is the truth about Global warming have to do with paying a carbon tax. It is either true or it is not, and the carbon tax has nothing to do with it. I am against the carbon tax too for crying out loud. Yet this is a common argument against global warming, gets me.
The carbon tax is just our governments way to deal with the problem. I strongly disagree with it. It will not solve the problem especially with increasing population. The solution I am for is the government working towards everybody in our country to have solar panels and windmills on our roofs. Then we will use very little green house gases instead of people paying more to use almost the same.
You can believe global warming is true and disagree on how our government handles it.
