I hate to rain/snow on some people's parades but you have the right to know why you were stopped before anything can go down.

I believe in media sensationalizing....

Duh! Really? What you and the silly police officer fail to grasp is that, not only does the media tends to sensationalize but that everybody with a cell phone is part of the media. Clearly neither you nor this cop has ever learned anything about crisis communication. That's why you support him in his successful attempt at hurting the departments image.

You must teach the course eh? What you fail to acknowledge in your silly attempt at making the cops in this instance the bad guys is the idiot doing everything wrong in a police stop.

Did he hurt the department's image? Of course not. Everyone knows the guy was being a jerk and looking to get arrested. Then screaming "Help! Help!"

You're just being silly.

Must have been a hefty fine! Did he yell at you?

They can't lean onto your vehicle either.

He had the Right to know why they pulled him over at first contact Being pulled over is being detained and they have to tell you why immediately.

Usually it is done in the form of a question.... "Do you know why I pulled you over?'... lol

However... when they come right up.... "Good evening... you were doing 80 in a 65... license and registration please.".... you're getting a ticket.

Nope, but I've taken it.

That would be both of them

Did he hurt the department's image?

Not in the eyes of those that pop a boner at the sight of over zealous cops. Believe it or not, there are still lots of people that think the RCMP officers acted properly in the Dziekanski case. Anybody with an ounce of common sense would know that there were other options available to the police officer than snapping because somebody put a camera in his face.

Ding! You win the prize!

There was and will always be the ones that pop a boner over cops being over zealous... even when they are not. Today... Police Out of Control... is what is selling.

Duh. ;)

This should be in the Stupid, Dumb and Just Plain Ignorant Cop Thread. You'd think these simpletons would have figured out by now that everybody has a video camera and if you act like a knob, you're going to end up all over social media.

We are well aware of your deep seated hatred for all Police Officers - Perhaps you were busted a few times to maintain such hate.

Now you're just being silly.

Silly Cannuck... just silly.

I figured as much. It refers to getting an erection and refers to people, not unlike some on this forum that have a uniform fetish and get excited about the cops getting all cop-like on some perps ***. While those people do exist, I can assure you, most "normal" people find a more reasoned approach by the cops more appropriate. In this particular case, there were numerous ways the officer could have handled the situation given that (being the 21st century) he should expect to end up on YouTube. While I understand that those of the "uniform fetish" crowd are quite happy to get more police porn, I'm sure his superiors had a little chat with him and explained that not everybody has this fetish.

Don't be so silly. Taking issue with stupid, dumb and just plain ignorant cops does not equal hate. Why do you feel you need come here and continually embarrass yourself

Zactly. They have to say why immediately.

Beating the guy was over the top.

I had a cop run out of the local RCMP detachment. She had it out for me because I taunted her. CST Ruth "Big Ethel" D-----. She nabbed me with a bag of weed and couldn't let go of the fact the Crown dropped charges. She figured she could keep pulling me over for no reason. I got myself some mercaptan in a spritz bottle so my truck forever smelled like skunk weed. I even spritzed the door handles of her cruiser so she smelled of it too. Her Cpl smoked weed and was a regular buyer of my hooch. He had her transfered for "not being an active member of the community". City girl tossed into a region with 2500 people.

Seriously Cannuck? You have to ask someone if they know what popping a boner is? I thought you were being facetious. I would not think anyone would not know that, but I should have assumed that with you.

The fetish actually lies in those that get off on seeing the cops abusing people in anything and everything... fairly and unfairly. We have an ignorant cop thread... we have this thread...we have the Ferguson threads... the NYC threads. Therein is the fetish and over zealotry.

This was the guy that filmed his own cop porn because he needed and wanted to get into a confrontation on film.

Beating the guy was over the top.

Where was the beating?
