Johai - if you post a thread asking for feedback, then ridicule the replies, what's the point?

Knock it off or this will move to the Cage.

Well Zan,

If that is the way way you feel, that is your opinion. The question was phrased in such a way so that it would not be misunderstood. But it was. So rather than dealing with someone who did not or was not able to answer such a simple question I really do not care. Going to the cage takes everything off into different tangents, I will not do that. So if the post can be withdrawn do it.
How does such a simple query morph into nuclear weapons and other non-specific statements?
If you are able withdraw the question and ----please do it, if not I will not go to the cage!

Respectfully as always,
Johai

Ohh, so you would only approve of our military if it was attacking your mortal enemies, the Americans?

That is how I read it. So basically he wants other people (not him because he is above psychopathic children with guns) who are psychos to aim nukes at the US and form alliances with off continent nations (presumedly alliances opposing the US) that are hostile to the US.

Johai, I found his statements to be quite on target with your request. I think perhaps the attempt to be concise simply confounded him being able to explain further. Take for example his idea of scrapping NAFTA so that energy prices aren't tied to international markets. That's one to be considered if energy is too expensive for the poor, no?

1 - Abolish NAFTA so energy prices don't need to be competitive with the US.
2- Socialize resources like lumber and oil. Still allow private sector development but with better terms for Canada.
3 - Establish much better trade relations with off continent countries.
4 - Abolish our central bank. Allow regional currencies based on local resources as a standard, still also maintain a Canadian currency for trade between towns/cities/provinces/countries.
5 - Invest heavily in the Canadian military. Go nuclear and make security pacts with off continent countries.
6 - Allow massive immigration so Canada can have the manpower to utilize its resources for real production.

Problems:

Although oil companies are gouging us, at-the-pump fuel prices are largely the result of taxes.........and canceling NAFTA will cost many jobs.

Lumber and oil are natural resources, the control of which belongs to the provinces, according to our constitution.

No problem with improved trade.....free trade is a wonderful thing, especially if it could be achieved on a global basis.........

Regional currencies? BAD idea.........speculation would run rampant

I see no need for our military to go nuclear.........I do agree with increasing its size and lethality......

We need time to assimilate the immigrants we have.....people from a culture of no liberty, single-party states, or theocracies need a generation or two to become responsible members of a free and democratic society........

Johai, please respond with your OWN suggestions, its common courtesy before shooting holes in someone elses ideas.

You have been avoiding this issue. If you have no thoughts of your own, please do not criticize those of others until you have something to add yourself.

That defeats the whole purpose of trolling....

Yes, you are quite the hypocrite, I agree.

Scott Free, You are being quite the troll here. Every post of yours is neither acceptable for a debate (you have plainly said you refuse to cite sources, meaning there is no point discussing anything with you as there is no way to analyze what you have said as rational or not), nor good natured conversation and is often merely attempts to goad others into "debates" which consist of throwing unsourced opinions around (making it rather pointless and basically spam).

No one is forcing you to share their opinions, stop trying to force others to share yours. If you want to enter into a debate about an issue, that is fine, but a debate isn't you "stating how it is" and refuse to give any sources to the debate to fuel intellectual discussion. Its a shouting match, and its blatantly obvious that is all that has resulted.

Seriously, what would make life easier for everyone is if you all could talk like grown men instead of pissy teenage girls, tossing barbs and insults every second sentence. How old are you guys anyway? For crying out loud, grow up and show a modicum of self control and intelligence you guys. You gents the last couple days are being SO DAMN frustrating.

It's spring Karrie, we get all musky and testosterony, it's breeding season for Canadians. They are acting like grown men, women love it.

Well karrie ask a couple of simple questions and you end up with arming ourselves with nuclear weapons.
I got lost in this and want out.

I think its time that Canada and the people should begin to wonder about LONG TERM affects of oil crisis. Oil supplies are dwindling or just so costly, and world is demanding more oil than ever before. Canadians consume more natural gas AND oil per heads because our country is so stretch apart. When that oil peaks to $200 per barrel, its WE whose going to hurt the most, not just United States and EU. To this, I'm afraid that there's no absolute solution. We had our time and its time that our civilization should end soon.
Or, we could invest 50% of all our income into alternative resource and dramatically reduce our consumption of food and make agriculture local.
Yes, back to feudalism again...
