What's the relation of thalidomide to say the MMR vaccine? Besides being a red herring?

Check out this compliation of injuries from essential oils:
Top Ten Worst Injuries from Essential Oils of 2014—Part 2 — Atlantic Institute of Aromatherapy

Something tells me if I tried to use this as evidence that say, the other types of treatments your wife might advise are in fact ill advised, that you might have a problem with that loose association.

Proof that one should not just blindly ingest what Big Pharma is selling.

One should not blindly ingest anything. Big Pharma is hardly a standout, hence why I posted that little list of adverse reactions to essential oils, marketed as 'safe and natural'.

Anyone is free to read the list of reactions that are possible from a vaccine. Can you say the same for the voodoo essential oils? I think not.

Certainly if you are going to use Thalidomide as an example then surely you have to accept that, as a result of massive vaccinations, many others have been spared the crippling and sometimes deadly effects of polio.

I love essential oils. I use them to get rid of the vinegar smell in my cleaning products. I like mint, lemon, and lilac....usually.

Just talked to my wife about this. SHe says anyone with training would know all the mentioned items are bad and whoever administered them should have known that. About the equivalent of taking your new computer run can to a shade tree mechanic for diagnosis.

If you were not such an idiot you would know there is a huge difference between Naturopaths and homeopaths

Of course. One is a silly quack, and the other is a silly quack with a degree. It's Sunday today. Have you said your prayers to the Herb Gawd yet?

I guess that explains your need to force others to do what you feel is right.

Interesting comment. Where do you draw the line at protecting children? If you are against protecting children through vaccination, are you also against protecting them through child labor laws?

You're missing the point. One industry is up front about the risks. The other is not. Comparing vaccines to thalidomide is a fallacy. They aren't comparable, anymore than thalidomide is comparable to ginger root juice or liverwort extract.

Vaccines have been around for many decades, and the risks of serious adverse events for the MMR vaccine are measured in numbers like 1 or 2 per 1,000,000. Do you know what the frequency of serious adverse events is for any naturopathic treatment you've taken? You can't possibly, as it's not regulated, and there are no requirements for reporting, or warning customers with any kind of clinical evidence.

Yes, you shouldn't blindly take anything. So tell me some statistics about any treatments you have used.

There are no regs on herbals. They are listed as dietary supplements and skirt FDA scrutiny. No guarantee.

Eucalyptus and rosemary are bad? There's no safe level?

inserting "if" does not change the implication or context of your statement.

It wasn't a statement. You will notice that, aside from the word "if", there is a question mark at the end. I'm willing to explain punctuation to you if you would like
