The guys are busted. Busted. There is no cover up and they (if its true) will most likely spend quite a long time in Leavenworth if convicted. They will most likely get Dishonorable Discharge just like our boys hiding up in Canada.
If previous examples of crimes committed by US soldiers are considered, most likely it (the case) will be swept under the carpet with one of the culprits used as a scapegoat and the rest let off the hook.

Collecting trophies is a hold over from the Indian Wars isn't it? Scrotums and the breasts of women were tobacco pouches back then. It is also a fact that the CIA promoted such acts prior to the Soviets coming into that Country.
Pretty fuking sad when the can make the old USSR as being the ones upholding human rights. Things have steadily gone downhill in that area since 1976.

Ather Karim Khalaf, a newlywed aged 24, was shot dead, allegedly after the door of his car swung open at a checkpoint and struck a soldier of the Black Watch.
Four weeks after Karim Khalaf was shot dead, Said Shabram, 19, drowned after British soldiers allegedly pushed him and another man, Munaam Bali Akaili, from a four-metre-high jetty into the Shatt al-Arab waterway near Basra.
