What are we to do about the Dutch dumping sugar? Cancel visas? Boycott Dutch Elm Disease?

Do yuh think that if Canada would agree to immediately sign on to the "Missile Defense System" and/or to invest more into "NORAD" that the country could walk away unscathed?

It is not about money ..... America does not need money. They can create a trillion dollars in crisp new hundred dollar bills in a nano second. America printed about 60 trillion dollars to purchase the Toxic Assets in 2008 and you could buy every house in America for that amount of money.
The Americans must be demanding more than money ..... That is why I mention NORAD, Missile Defense, and the Arctic or the Great Lakes.?
No that is not the truth. It can't be printed without liabilities.Hi! Petros
The Federal Reserve can create money simply by using a computer keyboard and with somebody signing some Chit which states that the U.S. will promise to pay back (a thousand or more years from today) or honour the "Trillion Dollar Loan" which the Federal Reserve just created out of thin air.
Is that not the truth?
How's that strategy working out in Zimbabwe?

Hi! Twin Moose
I see these tariffs as a form of control or like colonialism. It is not about money. Money is a Myth just like a religion is.
I grabbed a Cip from a Raph Nader Radio Show to give you a drift at what I kinda mean .....
How Central Banks Rigged The World - Complexity (Clip)
Ralph talks to former financial insider, Nomi Prins, about what central banks are and how much power they have to shape our world.
"RALPH NADER: Complexity is a controlling process. That is the way that power is concentrated.
It makes people throw up their hands and surrender. Lawyers, bankers, tax Lawyers, insurance companies."

Hi! Petros
Of course there is liabilities. The Federal Reserve and the Secretary of Commerce sign the liability note or chit and with terms of repayment nicely set out to the holder of the notes. The Commerce Department promises to pay or honour the notes at anytime in the future as agreed upon.
And when it comes to paying off the liability in full, the Federal Reserve will just use the Comuter Keyboard and print whatever is required.
How utterly Trumpian of the CBSA .
the softwood duty issue has been around for a hundred years. I am finding it difficult to put reimposing a duty (at the conclusion of a long negotiation)that has been on and off dozens of times in the same ball park as unilaterally altering the international trade of metals.
but then again I am not desperately trying to normalize the action of President poop for brains.
Canada could have made the deal Obama offered them but they decided they might get a better deal from Trump. Just another great decision there.
Not a bad plan, I would say. We used to feed the British Empire and we have lost the ability to feed ourselves. We've paved over a lot of our best farm land. My grandfather was a fruit farmer who grew cherries, peachs, plums, pears, apples and grapes for processing, canning and fresh consumption. Canning and processing left Canada decades ago. Fresh consumption is pretty time-limited. That agricultural area is now either paved over or totally covered in vinyards for wine production (a noble pursuit, I will grant you but not a strategically necessary one). The world and this country would be a better place if we grew more of our own food, again.
. He thinks he's going to punish the U.S., which is a futile prospect. Just as the spectacle of his limp wristed, lisping exclamations of 'outrage' will be considered comedic in the Trump administration.
.. and he's going to get his ass kicked.. which means we are going to get our ass kicked.
Canada is upholding their end of NORAD they are not upholding their end in NATO and no, this is about imported metal into Canada and Mexico and resold under NAFTA. That's why after the first threat of steel tariffs Canada imposed restrictions and large tariffs on imported metals. The national security thing is the only way Trump can trigger the tariffs it's not because we are security concern, hammer out the NAFTA deal and it all goes away
