That's incorrect, but seeing as how it's a meme, I presume anybody with the brains of a fencepost already knew that.

Via Michael Sykes~ “Steven Calabresi, a cofounder of The Federalist Society, agrees that the events of the last week have caused the mask to fall and revealed Trump for a bona fide fascist. "I am frankly appalled by the president’s recent tweet seeking to postpone the November election. Until recently, I had taken as political hyperbole the Democrats’ assertion that President Trump is a fascist. But this latest tweet is fascistic and is itself grounds for the president’s immediate impeachment again by the House of Representatives and his removal from office by the Senate."”

Trump Might Try to Postpone the Election. That’s Unconstitutional.

He should be removed unless he relents.
I have voted Republican in every presidential election since 1980, including voting for Donald Trump in 2016. I wrote op-eds and a law review article protesting what I believe was an unconstitutional investigation by Robert Mueller. I also wrote an op-ed opposing President Trump’s impeachment.
But I am frankly appalled by the president’s recent tweet seeking to postpone the November election. Until recently, I had taken as political hyperbole the Democrats’ assertion that President Trump is a fascist. But this latest tweet is fascistic and is itself grounds for the president’s immediate impeachment again by the House of Representatives and his removal from office by the Senate.
Here is what President Trump tweeted:

With Universal Mail-In Voting (not Absentee Voting, which is good), 2020 will be the most INACCURATE & FRAUDULENT Election in history. It will be a great embarrassment to the USA. Delay the Election until people can properly, securely and safely vote???
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 30, 2020

The nation has faced grave challenges before, just as it does today with the spread of the coronavirus. But it has never canceled or delayed a presidential election. Not in 1864, when President Abraham Lincoln was expected to lose and the South looked as if it might defeat the North. Not in 1932 in the depths of the Great Depression. Not in 1944 during World War II.

So we certainly should not even consider canceling this fall’s election because of the president’s concern about mail-in voting, which is likely to increase because of fears about Covid-19. It is up to each of the 50 states whether to allow universal mail-in voting for presidential elections, and Article II of the Constitution explicitly gives the states total power over the selection of presidential electors.

Election Day was fixed by a federal law passed in 1845, and the Constitution itself in the 20th Amendment specifies that the newly elected Congress meet at noon on Jan. 3, 2021, and that the terms of the president and vice president end at noon on Jan. 20, 2021. Even if President Trump disputed an election he lost, his term would still be over on that day. And if no newly elected president is available, the speaker of the House of Representatives becomes acting president.
President Trump needs to be told by every Republican in Congress that he cannot postpone the federal election. Doing so would be illegal, unconstitutional and without precedent in American history. Anyone who says otherwise should never be elected to Congress again.

Obama calls Trump 'racist, sexist and nativist' during virtual fundraiser for Biden: report

At private virtual fundraisers for Joe Biden, former U.S. President Barack Obama has decried current U.S. President Donald Trump, calling him “racist, sexist and nativist,” according to a New York Times report .

A pointed series of remarks, made across a number of online events, are said to have included an “oblique” reference by Obama to Nazi Germany, according to the Times, citing people familiar with the conversations.

Obama, the Times reports, has held a number of recent “intimate” chats that have shifted $24 million into Biden’s election race coffers. A recent Zoom convention organized by George Clooney sold tickets ranging from $250 to $250,000.

The question that sparked Obama’s response on Trump was when he was asked what keeps him up at night. Obama’s answer, given to Illinois governor J.B. Pritzker in a chat laid on for party donors, was voter suppression and Trump’s attempts to discredit the upcoming election.

Talking to Pritzker, Obama stated: “It’s just glued to Fox News and Breitbart and Limbaugh and just this conservative echo chamber — and so, they’re going to turn out to vote… What he has unleashed and what he continues to try to tap into is the fears and anger and resentment of people who, in some cases, really are having a tough time and have seen their prospects, or communities where they left, declining. And Trump tries to tap into that and redirect in nativist, racist, sexist ways.”..........More

Thanks Cliffy

McConnell: 15-20 GOP senators will not vote for any coronavirus deal

The party is over for this government. They will go into November with a nation of sick and dying.

But the wealthy will be in the best shape they have ever been.

It has been one hell of a 4 years for the 1%

They must be sick of the winning

BHO be an asshole.

That is how the southerners speak. .

Hmmm.

*****************

Q: How can Trump be so sure that the election will be rigged?? and disastrous?? What does HE know that he is hinting at?? ie. what is HE planning to make it so??? Does he believe that voter suppression caused by his sowing doubts, will have a positive result for him?? If that is the case......then his words are influencing a rigged election. Technically, HE is interfering with his own election........but to favor himself. Can't Americans see through his efforts?? He is overtly damaging their fragile democracy.

Honest Government Ad | A message from the White House

The White House has made an ad about how things are going, and it’s surprisingly honest and informative.
