He has to do everything he can do to disrupt mail in and walk in voting.

That's the game plan for the gop in general.
Indeed. He is making sure that the election is highly questionable / so he can refuse to accept the results. We are seeing a psychopath in his destructive status / power hungry action. The world has a history of what psychopathic leaders have done to their won countries and the world.

It is very concerning as he does not care about democracy, the US population, or the nation itself.......... he only cares about himself, power and status (and money)

They are reaching record levels of deaths from pandemic and he is yet to express any sadness , empathy, or genuine concern......... (except that it is an inconvenience to his getting elected again) for this massive tragedy.

In reality......the US population is responsible for all of Trumps destruction..........as they voted him in. refusing to see him for what he was. They allowed themselves to be conned by him.

BBC is resorting that if trump loses , it will get very ugly. The rest of the world has figured out what it is dealing with. and the crazy GOP is letting him get away with all this........for their own motives for continued power.

At least six state attorneys general consider legal action to protect Postal Service operations before the election

Good. Maybe the lunatic Potus will do a rethink befog creating a postal crisis to delay and confuse the results .........so he can call it illegit and refuse to leave. TRUMP is the BIGGEST threat to American elections now. Trump has lowered the US to some backward nation And his crazy supporters are endorsing that.

America: What Happened?? ..

I guess the Dems. are not against streamlining services just not right now

Pelosi calls House back to D.C. as Dems set emergency postal hearing amid fears over delayed ballots

Pelosi said she is calling on House members to return from their August recess this week and vote on the bill, called the Delivering for America Act. The bill, introduced by Oversight and Reform Committee Chairwoman Carolyn Maloney, D-N.Y., would prohibit officials from implementing changes at the Postal Service until next year, Pelosi said.

Oh and the Michigan Postal union says they can handle the load as is

Michael Mize, president of the Michigan Postal Workers Union, who has worked in the Postal Service for nearly 23 years, said the turmoil is "the strongest political attack on the Postal Service — my livelihood — that I've ever seen."

"My opinion, the position that I've taken, is that the appointment that was made [of DeJoy] and the actions that have followed are a direct internal attack on what we do, and it makes me sick, and it makes me angry," he said.

But Mize said he still believes the Postal Service will be able to handle voting by mail just fine, even with the changes. As others have said, even a large increase in mail-in ballots would pale in comparison to the parcel load the Postal Service handles annually at Christmas.

"I work with these people, and I know that they're going to do everything they can to make sure that this gets done," he said. "They take too much pride in it. They're not just going to buckle over and say, 'Oh, well.' It's just not going to happen."

Oh and those of you that are saying Trump is against mail in voting

At a news conference Saturday, Trump said that "the post office is a catastrophe" and that DeJoy "wants to make the post office great again."

Of voting by mail, the president said, "Absentee is good; mail-in, universal, is very, very bad."

Despite the president's and his supporters' claims of massive fraud, there remains no evidence of widespread voter fraud in the U.S., according to numerous investigations and studies.

Asked about the lack of evidence Sunday, Meadows said, "There's no evidence that there's not [fraud], either."

I guess the progressives are not all in on Biden

Bernie Sanders predicts 'overwhelming' Biden support, despite progressive hesitations

Despite a number of progressive Democrats expressing hesitation about Joe Biden's presidential campaign -- and many more indicating that they are opposed to the party's national platform -- Sen. Bernie Sanders attempted Sunday to assuage concerns about his liberal base's priorities come November.

"I would say that the overwhelming majority of progressives understand that it is absolutely imperative that Donald Trump be defeated," Sanders, I-Vt., said on ABC's "This Week."

The senator predicted widespread support for the Biden-Harris ticket, even as his supporters continue to lobby for progressive priorities.

"Obviously, there may be disagreement," he told ABC Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos. "A lot of my supporters are not enthusiastic about Joe Biden. You know why? I ran against Joe Biden. But I think there's an overwhelming understanding that Donald Trump must be defeated, Biden must be elected, and that the day after he is elected, we're going to do everything we can to create a government that works for all of us.".....More

Better get that substantiated! If he played golf every day during his presidency at that rate he was costing the taxpayers $112,000 a day. I call bull shit. (that's pretty steep green fees) :)

After last night's pre tapped speeches looks like the Dem. game plan is to use the pandemic to defeat Trump while protecting Biden in the bunker over the same reason. Good strategy if they can keep the economy from blowing wide open by Nov.

Is the truth not good enough, Cliffy?
Robert Reich: He served in the administrations of Presidents Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, and Bill Clinton. He was Secretary of Labor from 1993 to 1997. He was a member of President Barack Obama's economic transition advisory board. I think he knows how to count. Add up all the costs for secret service details, food, lodging, plane flights, motorcades, etc, etc, and you can chock up a lot of lolly.

It still doesn't add up. The figure I quoted was for playing every day he was President which of course isn't even close. I agree there were a lot of costs but costs occurring due to his being president, charging them all to golf isn't honest. Food is an expense he has regardless. "Figures can lie and liars can figure" Maybe we can consult Sleepy for a second opinion. He's generally fairly accurate!
