whatever happened to the idea of POTUS .......for all the people.?? Trump has made such a mess of this election..........and stirred up so much angst.......... it could get quite explosive.
Heard someone that knows Trump well. say that he would start a war if it meant he would win. His supporters would go along with any crazy behavior from him. They just continue to justify his lunacy.
I am thinking the same thing.......and for the same reason. Plus Trump is "in your face " as a steady diet.
Then the whole world will be royally screwed. He will declare himself dictator for life and start invading his neighbours. Guess who will be first.
I truly believe that if he wins he will seek to repeal the 22nd Amendment. Then there will be no limit to where he will flex his power.
That wouldn't even be a surprise. There was significant rumbling during Reagan's second term about trying to repeal the 22nd. Which is funny, since it was passed to soothe Republican butthurt in the first place.
He maybe interested in the West he sure as hell wouldn't want anything to do with the East of our country, might try to buy us for our resources like every other POTUS outside Obama, but I doubt he will invade us.
Nah, too many people see right through the man & I doubt if any "machine" can negate that. I'd be interested in seeing Bones' candid opinion.
Biden is still way out front in the swing state vote except for Florida where they are tied.
Trump received zero bounce from what was supposed to be the republican convention and he is quickly running out of time to turn things around.
I would expect the campaign to get dirtier and funnier - at least for those of us who think the senate elections are the only ones that matter.
If the democrats can take the senate - and although they look poised to do so it is still too close to call - then Trump can remain president and it won't matter.
In fact for the sake of the country it would probably be better if he won and the Dems took the senate.
Even though he is a notoriously bad winner he is an even worse loser. Getting him out of the White House may take more than an election result.
Don't tell Walter that, he once stated that Reagan never supported repealing the 22nd.
I have confidence that over 50% of voting Americans have common sense. BUT as Yogi said "it's not over until it's over"
Oh yes, there is more than one way to skin a cat so to speak. A Trump win while losing the senate is a loss for Trump. Oh he will leave claw Mark's on his way out of the WH, no doubt about that.
In that, he's correct. Reagan himself was silent on the subject. I have a vague memory of him once saying he supported the 22nd.
Better than nothing, but we've already seen his propensity to rule by executive order, without regard to the law.
