Who ever wanted a registry except the police and the majority of Canadians

Majority of Canadians eh...................prove it.

In case you are still unclear on what some of the red flags were, here's a fairly comprehensive list of some of the goofy or concerning things he's said and done in the past...and present.

Oooh, thanks for that, Dec. It went right into my pocket list so I can enjoy it at leisure.

By the time it was over, not even a majority of Canadians....it was split 50-50 on the issue.

It cost 1,000 times the predicted amount.

It never helped solve a single serious crime.

It actually contained well over 4,000 firearms that were stolen.

It was extremely inaccurate.

It was not secure.

It was definitely not user friendly. (I was once on hold for over 45 minutes, only to hear this "We're sorry, we are experiencing an unusual number of calls. Please call back at another time" click buzzzzzzzzzz)

It was very incomplete. (at least 25% of long guns were never registered)

The people at the Firearms Centre were incredibly incompetent on guns.

The stick-on serial numbers for guns without didn't work. I have a Marlin .22, a beautiful piece, but old enough it had no serial number. I registered it, and carefully followed the instructions on applying the "permanent" number. It fell off within a minute. I threw it away. The sticker, not the rifle.

Just for starters.

Useless, aggravating, and outrageously expensive.

The cops all KNOW you NEVER depend on INFO from the gun registry.
Doing so can, and has, gotten people killed.

I used to work with an ex To. cop whose partner died in the line of duty while they were finding that out. It's why HIS wife made him quit the force.
