I wonder if the Liberal party knew that Trudeau was devoid of substance before they proposed he should run for the leadership?
Either way, it doesn't speak well about them.
Of course they knew. Everyone who wasn't fawning over his hair like a starstruck teenage girl could see it. Butts is there because Butts is running the country. Tater tot is just window dressing.
Too many people weren't able to see past the hair and the virtue signaling idiocy. Or they were just tired of fairly competent management under Harper.
Truth is, either way, it doesn't speak well about US as voters.
I knew that he wasn't really political material. He had been around that most of his life, but never jumped in until he was approached by the Liberal party. I don't know what red flags he raised. Virtually no one paid any attention to him prior to the election.
I would disagree. Butts knew he could ride his shiny little pony into power, with the name and the hair. It was just a question of timing. After Iggy the disaster in 2011, it was a bit early, but if Garneau or someone else ran and won, he could have been leader for 5 - 7 years, and then Justin would have started to look like spilled milk, because his drama and substitute career choices would have
looked funny for a party leader.
Meh. His supporters think the suns shines from his ass, and can't do anything wrong.I wondered if the party truly knew how much he was like his mother. As I said in another post, you would think so, but I believe that Justin has surprised the party executive with his strange behaviour and uncoordinated public talk. After the India fiasco, you would think that they would come down hard on him. Basically, appoint a babysitter.
Normal people didn't vote for him in 2015, won't in 2019. So the Liberals don't pander to people with brains.
That leaves the mushy middle, the ones with 30 second attention spans, and still have damp panties.
And then of course you have the problem that there is no real opposition in the CPC. Justin-lite ain't gonna cut it.
Will be real interesting to see how Ford does in Ontario. might open a few eyes.
What's stopping a Liberal MP to just sit as an independent?
Re-election and a better pension.
