In the old days 'survival of the fittest' worked well.

people use to die from broken bones. It wasn't survival of the fittest. For humans it was most often just survival of the luckiest.

Canada in 1915?
Gotta give it to you there. Canada in 1915 was a paradise of justice, equality, and freedom.

Canada in 1915 was deeply at war and under martial law. The War Measures Act was in effect and that gave the Crown extraordinary powers ...such as rounding up the Ukranians and locking them up in concentration camps because the Ukraine was a part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire (not Russian, that time).

Yep, things surge and wane from year to year, making it very difficult to pick a best or worst time.

In case you're wondering what feminists are complaining about, maybe it's that an ordinary, moderate, intelligent Canadian man picks a year when women couldn't vote as the high-water mark of Canadian justice, freedom, and equality.

Sorry. I forgot. When did Black folk get to vote in Alabama, again?

Legally speaking, we were two years behind you for women (1920). Last of all were Indians (1924). Effectively, blacks had a very difficult time voting in the American South until the 1970s.

And of course, that means that it was not unequal or unjust for Canada to deny women the vote until 1918.

Are you familiar with the "tu quoque" fallacy? Because you just gave a perfect example of it. I hope it was intentional.

You mean "Shut your fat gob and fix your own broken country, you hypocrite".

Yeah.

That's the one.

Canada will not extradite to the US without the Americans removing the death penalty from the table (which the US has done).

If you commit the crime in the US and are caught in the US, you will face the death penalty.
Charles Ng was one exception.

Um. . . fixed, you retard. In case you don't have access to a calendar, the 1970s were 40 years ago.

But continue with your belligerent as*holery. It's mildly amusing.

I was in the Armed Forces in the 1970s. Went to university in the 1970s. It is only s long time ago if you are very young.

*blush*

well this IS the internet so yep, I did totally forget to add those other truths. Thanks for the reminder ;)
Sometimes the internet actually does reflect reality.

You should change your tagline to "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful."

You have amazing eyes.
