Hi Petros

If you take a walk down the street of any city in North America, you would quickly realize that things have not improved much since the Ronnie Ray-Gun Daze.

If you listen/read government statistics echoed within the media, then you might think things are improving.

Hi Digit...

I don't think you've walked down many city streets in North America recently. When was the last time you've been to Manhattan?

Trump needs to get NAFTA done before the general election in Mexico. If it becomes an election issue there is a chance that some hard line Mexican protectionist could get in there and make trouble.

We should still kindly invite the US to join, but Trump would be to proud to join such a deal because he wants to 'win.'

Doubling down seems to be his way. Or lying and bullshitting non stop. He takes the W.C Fields quote "if you can't dazzle them with your brilliance, baffle them with bullshit" a little too far.

Or Toronto. I go to Nashville every year and the skyline keeps changing with beautiful new buildings every year.

Genocide by definition does not eliminate humans. It just gets rid of some people. Likewise a Holocaust.

Common mistake.

Would that be any more objectionable than if we were to win? Grab a f**king brain!

In a trade war, nobody wins, everyone loses. I don't want Canada to win. I want all parties involved including Canada to profit collectively. There is a difference. Why would any country sign a losing trade agreement? Trump must be totally narcissistic to believe that any country would do that.

Yes, because he wants to squeeze the living fukc out of this country, you imbecile!

Trump is NOT our friend. He talks like an adversary, acts like an adversary.

You don't actually live in Canada, do you?

Trump is nobody's friend, not even America's. And no, we can't win this trade war anymore than the US can. At best, we can wear down the US' will to fight through attrition. We the end, we'll all lose. The only question is by how much. Economics isn't Trump's strong point.

This is why trump said he loved the uneducated. He can pull the wool over their eyes with no real effort. He's incapable of sustained effort.

It is becoming apparent that the organizations that Trump carries around him do all the work. He is so scattered and capricious that he is incapable of producing a coherent outcome on his own without his assistants ... the ones that he keeps sacking or driving off.

I'll mix a couple of metaphors and envision him ending up like Napoleon, stark naked in his new suit of clothes, ruling over Elba all by himself.

But isn't international trade all about winning, about crushing the opposition? How in the world did Trump survive in business with the economic knowledge he's now demonstrating?

The highly disciplined Chinese must be amused and bewildered.

"Is that the best that the Americans could find for leadership?" they probably say to each other over after-work beers ...just before they burst out laughing.

The Chinese are going to eat this guy for lunch. "Dingdong Donald Orange Fried Bone Spurs"

Nah, the look on with fear at how the US could have trusted someone like him with the nuclear codes.
