U.K. snubs a Commonwealth nation Canada

According to the UK Canada web site “We no longer issue standard (5 and 10 year) British passports at our High Commission in Ottawa. You now need to apply for your passport at our Regional Passport Processing Centre in Washington.”

This is bull crap of the royal kind

Britain has a very short memory on who stood by their side for years and which country revolted against them because of the king’s taxes.

Yet here we have it America is the only place to go for any British passport needs in North America.

Why would our Prime Minister even think of bringing back Canadian naval tradition by adding Royal in front of Canadian Navy?

By this act alone shows all that the U.K. does not care about their Commonwealth allies and maybe it is time for Canada to do the same

Streamlining to a non Commonwealth country The Bits should have streamline it to Canada just because we are supposed to have a closer relations to the U.K. but it is looking like we don't.

There is nothing saying that if you live outside your country of citizenship that they have to provide you with a passport office close by. I am sure each office costs a pretty penny and they probably save a bunch by having you deal with Washington.

When my wife did here US passport renewal, she had to do it through Washington. She did it by mail. I am sure the British also offer a similar service.
