Two years into the Trudeau 2.0 Minority Term, which day will Justin call the election that only he wants?

Yeah…the green-tech funding agency (Green Slush Fund) thing. It’s come up here on the forum periodically…& it was only a matter of time before it started oozing like a puss filled wound.

The video above in post#840 is just over 45 minutes long, and I’m assuming entertaining as well as disgusting…& it’s from 4 days ago. I haven’t had a chance to watch it in probably won’t for several hours.

Here is a shorter (9 minutes) summary, from nine months ago, about this latest episode in the ongoing-ongoing Liberal shenanigans that vaguely explains things as opposed to 45 minutes of back-and-forth testimony in Parliamentary committee.
(Maybe there really isn’t the oversight that this potential clown show required…)
1727129844972.jpeg
Then this below is 3 months ago on the same clown show that Boomer is bringing up but the below vid is less than two minutes with Trudeau himself speaking directly about this, with lots of “Ugh’s” use like punctuation in every sentence.
And then there’s this below from three months ago again, with a bit more detail:
1727131697519.jpeg
This has started back in 2011 (so under Harper & the Conservatives) where they allowed 8.6 million to McKinsey (over four years) vs the Liberals with 200 million or so so far…so they will try and spin this into who knows what, but it will be interesting.
1727131757740.jpeg
The Liberal Government has been in power for almost a decade and the last three elections…so…Harper? Interesting…so below is back about a year ago again:
Ironically…ironically a year ago the NDP was voting hand-in-hand with the liberal government, & the Bloc was “very disturbed” about this…so this week both the NDP & Bloc have supported the Liberal gov’t (or will shortly) in a confidence vote. Good times!

Wow…this is beyond wild. At 35:40 above:

“Has anybody been fired in connection to this clown circus bureaucracy in the production of these documents?”

“I think there have been many convenient retirements.” (With renumeration)

Frankie Bubbles is in this up to Trudeau’s eyebrows, & as a cabinet minister in Trudeau’s cabinet, there is no way in Hell the PMO & Trudeau specifically were not aware of this. Zero. Zip. Zilch.

As an aside, I absolutely love the placement of the beaver in the above video:

This is the report from the auditor general office:
…& on that note, from 10 months ago, fully in the know, the Honourable Frankie Bubbles:
1727147535596.jpeg
…& on that note, tomorrow…literally TOMORROW…the conservatives will present a motion of nonconfidence in this current Liberal government…& the next day assumably the NDP & Bloc, with the same access to Google & YouTube & these parliamentary hearings…will support this government and their ongoing corruption.

The House of Commons is set to debate a Conservative non-confidence motion today, as the Tories try to take down Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's government.
1727181535106.jpeg
It's the first test for the minority government since the NDP ended its supply-and-confidence deal with the Liberals earlier this month.
1727183026585.jpeg
The Bloc Québécois and NDP have already said they will not support the motion, which will be voted on Wednesday.

So neither Singh nor Blanchet have confidence in Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau but both will have their members vote to keep him in the big chair .

Maybe its a ploy? Pretend then BAM! Wishful thinking 🤔?
Maybe they (they being the Bloc & NDP) like the way things currently roll, and damn the people paying their salaries and pensions? Swimming in scandals and ethic violations, & regardless of what comes to light, they’ll keep the Liberals in power?

Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre’s attempt to topple the minority Liberal government through a non-confidence motion was met Tuesday with his political rivals instead attempting to undermine Canadians’ confidence in Mr. Poilievre himself…because…because they’re the opposition to the opposition?

Canadian MPs are set to vote on a Conservative motion that is trying to topple Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government, but it will likely fail.

It will likely get defeated since both the NDP and the Bloc Québécois indicated last week that they will not support it.

Despite the motion not expected to pass, the upcoming vote serves as a first test for Trudeau and his government since the collapse of their supply-and-confidence deal with the NDP.
The Liberals, Singh said, are far too weak to be a match for the Conservatives in a general election — adding the NDP is the only party capable of standing up to the government (the “government” are the Liberal minority, but maybe he’s forgotten that?) and that his party’s byelection victory in Winnipeg proves it.
The Liberals would have much preferred a majority in 2021, but as minority parliaments go, the current one gives them plenty of options for dodging a date with the electorate. While both the NDP and the Bloc said they are voting to sustain the government (the actual Liberal minority gov’t), the Liberals only needs one of them.

Yay or Nay are not the only choices for MPs voting in the House, MPs are also free to abstain or simply skip votes.

Speaking of confidence, Darkmeet needs to grow a pair and gain some instead of fearing the loss of seats which is more likely by not voting yay.

He (Jagmeet) & the NDP “could” just abstain from the vote today, knowing that the Bloc is going to support the Libs anyway….& it would be much more consistent with his “Ripped/Torn up” the agreement mantra…but…not happening.

The Liberals put out a statement on X after the vote, appealing for donations. “Let’s be clear: Pierre Poilievre’s Conservatives want an early election so they can try to execute their ‘hidden agenda’ to cut taxes for the wealthy and services for everyone else,” it said.
1727312851598.jpeg
“He wants a climate change election? Let’s have that election in the right time,” said Trudeau as he was drowned by MPs’ applause.
1727312920842.jpeg
When is the right time? Somewhere between 390 & 397 or so???
1727313049444.jpeg“This is not the time for that. We’re going to continue to work for Canadians,” he (Trudeau) added. Trudeau said that Poilievre would soon see that the House (just Canadians?) does not have confidence in him as leader of the opposition.

Or something like that? Both the NDP and Bloc Quebecois joined the Liberals in defeating that motion.

…& it was defeated…yesterday. The Bloc said the reasoning was too simple. Here we are today with it spelled out differently:

Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre’s second motion of the fall sitting was presented to the House of Commons on Thursday, just a day after his first one was defeated.

In their latest challenge brought forward on Thursday, Poilievre blames the Liberal government for “doubled housing costs, taxed food, punished work, unleashed crime” and calls it the “most centralizing government in Canadian history.”

“The House has lost confidence in the government and offers Canadians the option to axe the tax, build the homes, fix the budget and stop the crime,” the motion reads.

(That sounds familiar, like I’ve heard that somewhere before….?)

The minority Liberals need the support of at least one other party in the House of Commons to survive such votes, or pass any legislation.

MPs will debate the new motion on Thursday and vote on it next week on Tuesday October 1st, 2024.

After that, if needed, the Conservatives are expected to table at least one more such motion before Christmas.
