So are most of my cousins, aunts and a few hundred of other relatives in Amsterdam
Ah, you're of Dutch ancestry then? Do you like eating raw herring like a seal? I see them doing that at the market here on Saturday, but I haven't plucked up the courage to try it. Some mariner I am...

Alberta is the Texas of Canada and the bible belt fanatics

I posted a link to this poll in the Atheist thread, but there are some numbers in this poll that are squarely at odds with your perception of Alberta:
Respondents from Quebec, meanwhile, were least likely to agree that religion is important to them (33%) and least likely to say God exists (62%), though British Columbia residents also expressed the same relatively low level of belief in God (62%).

Religion was deemed important to 47% of those from Atlantic Canada, 45% of Ontarians, 43% of respondents from Alberta and just 37% of British Columbians.

Belief in God was expressed by 71% of women and 64% of men. Seventy per cent of respondents in both Ontario and Atlantic Canada said they believe God exists, while agreement on the question was slightly lower in Alberta (67%).
Poll: Most Canadians say religion not important, although majority believe in God | Holy Post | National Post

Fanatics, perhaps. But it's certainly no bible belt. I worked in the small towns in Southwest Alberta, and they were no more religious than anywhere in the country I've traveled, which includes all three coasts and spots in-between.

You're not talking about the Swedish rotten fish tins are you? There's another thing I haven't had the stomach to try. Although I did try the rose hip soup. It was remarkably sweet.
Noooo, kerr jars. An old rugby pal used to pickle his own using his family recipe handed down for ages. He's Swedish. We'd pigout on them and beer after games. :D
Never tried rosehip soup either. Rose hip tea, yes.

"The online survey of 1,522 people"

From what I have read any poll of less than 5000 is not that accurate and online polls are not accurate at all because it can be manipulated.

An online survey with 1522 votes is unlikely to have been manipulated. But yeah, in general an online voluntary survey is non-optimal, but when the alternative is nothing at all, it is quite acceptable.

Online poll? "The survey, carried out by the firm Leger Marketing during the week of March 26, is considered accurate to within 2.9%, 19 times out of 20."

You have anything more accurate?

1522 online poll is not accurate just because the control factors are not there.

5000 live person phone survey is a true poll anything less than that is a shot in the dark and online polls can be done by wiping your cookies and voting multiple times.

In your time in Alberta, did you ever see any wild roses (I mean true wild
roses that where not planted by man)? I did. I was impressed with their
height. Anyway....what are these "eastern values" that the Albertians are
lacking?....in your opinion.

When I was driving on the Alberta highways I was constantly reminded I was in Wild Rose country

OK. So....?

Please know that I'd never paint everyone in a region of this nation with
the same brush....but I'm curious about these "eastern values" that you
mention. What are they, and what makes them exclusive to....whatever
you think it makes them exclusive to?

Alberta has western values and the east has eastern value and that is what makes Canada so great

OK. So....?

DUH Are you sure it was an online poll? And do ALL online polls allow multiple votes?

Duh yea I am sure it was an online poll

"The online survey of 1,522 people, commissioned by the Montreal-based Association for Canadian Studies, also showed relatively low levels of trust in religious leaders, with 48% of respondents attributing the trait of trustworthiness to clergy."

Poll: Most Canadians say religion not important, although majority believe in God | Holy Post | National Post

Here is the link and you can read it for yourself.

Canada
with the guidance of eastern Canada have transformed their province to a successful one

Where did this come from, just how did you arrive at this conclusion?
Man you are some dummy !!!

No, I don't think Liberalman is a bigot, he is just a stupid and misinformed easterner like so many of them are.
But I believe in a democracy where he is allowed to voice his opinion. Albeit a very ignorant one..

The old idea have one idea and just repackage it until the money runs out.
The Social Credit Party ran the place for decades and they were the born
again evangel crowd. The Premier was a Minister quite literally and in the
end God wanted a change. The Conservatives took power and have been
there ever since. Now its a case of going from right wing to extreme right
wing again. Nothing like having one view of the world is there.

I don't put much store in these "wings", there's methods that work and methods that don't and whatever it is in Alberta, it seems to have been working since 1935.
