I like Cliffy and I like his style. I could call him 'friend' and have no qualms about it. At least he's his own boss. He doesn't kowtow to anyone for recognition or to score brownie points.

Cliffy has made his bed. It is impossible for me to feel any compassion for him. It is impossible for me to cut him any slack, when all he ever does is post nasty things about virtually everyone. Let's just say that he gets what he gives. You don't have to be a sweetheart, just treat others how you expect to be treated. At this, he fails miserably.

In his mind, it's alright for him to cuss out, talk down to, or generally insult anyone he feels like, but don't dare give it back to him. That makes him two faced as well.

That's why I have no time for him. He is paltry and undeserving of anything except my contempt.

BRAVO!!!

It is only the TRumpsters that object to his funny posts. Probably because they are just too defensive a bout Trump now......AND have no sense of humor. (a serious character flaw ;-)

*********

seems that some are boycotting the speech this evening. Let's see if he can control his jab mouth.as he takes his self proclaimed victory laps. ;-)

Speaking is NOT his strong suit . ( he IS INARTICULATE) Which is a real personal deficiency due to his being in POLITICS NOW

OB, Trump has nothing to do with Cliffy and his silly posts.

You are like Cliffy - a waste of skin. The only difference is you do not have a potty mouth. You are petty, and that's why people don't respond to you in the threads where you post your drivel. Try being more than a one dimensional whiner.

Not entirely true. I've been characterized as a Trumpster (albeit the jerk characterizing me thus is one ignorant asshole) and I don't object to most of his posts and I don't regard myself as having "no sense of humour" :) :)

Perhaps TRumpfans(fanatics) fits the extreme version of trump supporters They cannot handle any criticism of their dear leader and see humor about him as criticism. Of course they have no problem with HIS fowl . nasty, condescending, constant jabbing and tearing others down. language In fact they copy him. (just reinforcing what sheeple they are)

If the US had an image problem before....... it is nothing compared to now. They elected a bloke with NO likability factor.

an aside: often wonder about Melania......She is extremely "tolerant of his behavior and nastiness..Passive compliance?? Codependent.??

Critical and independent thinking has left the building under Trump regime.

Trump Officials Are Exploring Mass Arrests of US Mayors

It's 4 am in New York. Federal agents in tactical gear confront the police department's mayoral security detail outside Manhattan's Gracie Mansion. After a tense standoff, the NYPD stands down and steps aside as the bedraggled mayor is removed in handcuffs. Across the nation, carefully coordinated pre-dawn raids sweep up the mayors of Boston, Chicago, San Francisco and Seattle, and the governor of California. Two hours later, President Trump tweets victory.
Paranoid conspiracy thriller? Feverish dystopian fantasy? Hardly. This is a plan that the Trump administration is actively considering. On January 16, Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen told the Senate Judiciary Committee that, at her department's request, federal prosecutors are "reviewing what avenues might be available" to arrest and prosecute mayors of sanctuary cities for harboring unauthorized immigrants.

No, poor Cliffy. A waste of humanity. What turned you into an ugly, hateful person? Why don't you tell us a little about your background. Have you always been so simple minded and abrasive? I'll bet you were jealous of others and your envy turned you into a hateful, empty person.

In a room full of people, you still feel alone. No one wants to talk to you.

Over the years, the hate changed. You wanted revenge for the lousy hand life dealt you. You retreated to FB and forum boards in order to interact. You found that you felt better when you insulted people.

Sorry Cliffy, no sympathy here. Yours is an empty, wasted existence. It's fun to play with you, but you're nothing important or special.

Trump signs order that will keep Guantanamo Bay military prison open and suggests more detainees might be sent there

A new executive order, issued as President Trump gave his State of the Union address, rescinds a 2009 order in which President Barack Obama promised to close the facility in Cuba.

Sixteen years after the first prisoner arrived, 41 detainees remain at Guantanamo. Of the more than 700 prisoners who have been held there since 2002, only a handful have been charged with a crime and even fewer tried.

He certainly has a lot of confidence in Russia to assist in keeping the GOP in power. How to be in debt to Russia. Wait until Russia calls in its chips. What is in it for RUSSIA.??? The US would pay..in the long term. The question is : HOW ?? Technically Russia might own Trump .....even now.

The more Trump protests about the collusion thing......the more suspect he looks.(and probably is)

You are fully entitled to your opinion but it's a far cry from factual. A nice person doesn't generally make a good politician. Trump has some rough edges and can be a little uncouth but I've never found his language to be FOWL. :)

The Useful Idiocy of Donald Trump

The problem with Donald Trump is not that he is imbecilic and inept—it is that he has surrendered total power to the oligarchic and military elites. They get what they want. They do what they want. Although the president is a one-man wrecking crew aimed at democratic norms and institutions, although he has turned the United States into a laughingstock around the globe, our national crisis is embodied not in Trump but the corporate state’s now unfettered pillage.
Trump, who has no inclination or ability to govern, has handed the machinery of government over to the bankers, corporate executives, right-wing think tanks, intelligence chiefs and generals. They are eradicating the few regulations and laws that inhibited a naked kleptocracy. They are dynamiting the institutions, including the State Department, that served interests other than corporate profit and are stacking the courts with right-wing, corporate-controlled ideologues. Trump provides the daily entertainment; the elites handle the business of looting, exploiting and destroying.
Once democratic institutions are hollowed out, a process begun before the election of Trump, despotism is inevitable. The press is shackled. Corruption and theft take place on a massive scale. The rights and needs of citizens are irrelevant. Dissent is criminalized. Militarized police monitor, seize and detain Americans without probable cause. The rituals of democracy become farce. This is the road we are traveling. It is a road that leads to internal collapse and tyranny, and we are very far down it.
