White House advises government agencies to prepare for shutdown as Congress struggles to pass budget ahead of midnight deadline
White House Office of Management and Budget spokesman John Czwartacki said Thursday evening that "agencies are now being urged to review and prepare for lapse."
His comments came just hours before a midnight shutdown deadline as Congress stalled on a budget bill to keep the government operating.
In the Senate, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) caused a delay, demanding a vote on his measure to keep spending within current limits. In the House, conservatives were upset that the massive package would add to the deficit. Liberals balked over the failure of Congress to act to protect undocumented young immigrants.

The stability of this regime is just so impressive. NOT.
between one scandal after another........ and literally being in a self paralyzed position from getting done........the ineffectiveness of the leadership is evident for the world to see.
but the trumpians will boast: The economy is doing well.........and THAT is all that matters to them.........
Seems like a very narrow measuring stick to evaluate the overall performance of "Trump goes to Washington"
BTW: Like the guy who replaced Sarah today. Less brittle , and ADMITTED that they could have handled the last few days better. ( Word is that Trump is dissed over those remarks. Perish the thought that the press secretary show human qualities and truths.) (and not just regurgitate Trumpisms.)
