Who knows who 'Anonymous' is.. maybe its Omarosa. This OPED is such a farcical and untenable instrument of authentic debate that it merely shows the depths of scandal mongering yellow 'journalism' to which the NYT has fallen.

It seems to fit, however, into an orchestrated media conspiracy aimed not so much at the American public as in sowing seeds of dissension, intrigue and distrust within the Trump administration in an attempt to wedge fissures into it and blow it apart.

In the conspirators demented imaginations they think it will propel Trump over the line rationality and foment a coup. It's a gambit of real desperation on their part and a sure sign they have become intellectually and morally bankrupt.

It's bound to backfire. Trump is in fact the most stable and constructive leader the U.S. has had in decades of cultural and economic decline. He is independent of neocon or neolib ideological maxims, has a firm grasp on how the national economy really works, and has delivered on all of his campaign promises.

The American electorate knows that bringing a Dem majority to the House in the midterms will guarantee an unstoppable momentum towards Impeachment given the hysterical and radical character of that Party.

I personally DON'T think the American people are going to put up with this futile nonsense for another 2 years and will vote to end it by bringing in Rep. majorities in both Senate and House.

I could be wrong of course.

In my opinion, under the Obama administration, division was part of their legacy which it has come to fruition and the left continues with this ugly strategy . Trump hasn't helped things, but he certainly didn't start the divide among the Americans today - that is all on Obama and his ilk.

Trump seems to be making things worse because he is so thin skinned especially with his tweets. It would also help if he was actually right on some of the things he tweets about and it's embarrassing to find out that he is either misinformed or ill informed. His ego just won't let some things go which doesn't help either.

A better man would encourage cohesion and state categorically that what happened under Obama stops here under the current Administration. Unfortunately, the US doesn't have a "better man".

Just in your humble opinion, can you name one divisive act of the Obama administration?

The Republicans sabotaged and sneered at Obama. They were afraid that everyday Americans would enjoy Obama, a black man, as President. And then their hearts would grow and diversity would be in. The GOP did everything in their power to divide when Obama was president. They did everything to keep racism alive. Trump was just and opportunist who capitalized on all the work the GOP did.

Because cell phones and society changes made it impossible to deny there were bad apples in some places in law enforcement. Because African Americans had the leadership and power (financial, celebrity, political) to stop sweeping bad things under the rug. We used to hear complaints and not hear the silence of people of colour crossing paths with the rare bad apples of the world. Because police were being recruited with bad salaries. Because bright young men and women were going into finance instead of law enforcement. Because America is at war abroad and fighting terrorism at home. And someone posted on social media "hey! Black lives matter". And it rang a lot of people's bells. And the backlash was evidence that it was a powerful idea. And more cell phone or body camera footage sustained the contention that people had to stand up for black lives. So people have and did. You didn't think that Nazis were the only ones talking and agreeing with strangers online did you? And other groups have formed online and torn a page out of #BLM's book. Like those parkland teens. Who went from shock, to online, to on the ground, to fighting with anti-gun violence community activists from black communities which is interconnectedness at its best. And it is very organic. And very civic. You are for civic engagement no? And Obama is one former community activist who is grinning from ear to ear that the internet does the job far better than he could back in the day.
