Retrograde. He is taking the country backwards and you think he is some kind of genius. Give your head a shake, man. We need to go forward and fossil fuels is definitely on the way out.
"You can never go home any more." - The Moody Blues.
I've said before on this forum i do not consider Trump a genius. I consider him and iconoclast and more importantly a truly independent thinker, who is willing to take on the graven idols of our day.. like Free Trade and AGW.

I thought his pulling America out of the Paris Climate Accord, reflecting the shambles of a pseudo scientific cult, an ideological and political agenda without and ounce of scientific credibility, that it represents, was the bravest thing he did.

The only way back from the precipice of deindustrialization.. and its attendant depopulation.. is through effective use of carbon tools and carbon based product. And that won't have so much iota of effect on the climate.

What culture?
Ignorant Hillbilly culture ...

Ah yes, the left who get offended just looking in the mirror every morning.
:O
Just breathing the spores that their culture gives off can cause brain damage.

Dow closes more than 450 points lower as markets reel amid U.S.-China trade uncertainty

Anxious investors are waiting to see how U.S.-China trade negotiations will play out, after the Trump administration reiterated its threat to raise tariffs on Friday on a wide range of Chinese goods. The three major U.S. indexes shed about 2 percent in regular trading on Tuesday.

Yes the market fluctuates , always and for a myriad of reasons . This is two consecutive down days , I expect a rebound soon as investors take advantage of buying opportunities.

‘It’s all a fraud’: Trump biographer slams the president after NYT tax blockbuster

https://www.rawstory.com/2019/05/it...ax-blockbuster/?utm_source=push_notifications

He has no idea of the a job he was elected to do...........and has been operating as if he is still on Apprentice...........

Hate to think of all the people his shenanigans have hurt. This is NOT the kind of person one wants running a country......... unless it is in some third world toilet.

The administration told the House Judiciary Committee that ex-White House counsel Donald McGahn does not have the legal right to comply with the panels subpoena.

I don't believe there has ever been an administration which has so often been wrong on questions of constitutional legality.

Pelosi and Impeachment

Pelosi went public yesterday with a charge that Trump was ‘goading’ the House to Impeach. She looked like she was in the clutches of a mental breakdown, at the limits of psychological exhaustion and in pure political exasperation. She keeps hoping for some kind of uprising in the country against Trump but can see that the issue of Impeachment is not getting any traction whatsoever.

Likely she knows that Trump is in complete control of this situation and knows this Mueller ‘Obstruction’ ploy is a bankrupt electoral issue in the country. That Impeachment would likely cost the Dems the Presidency and the Congress (both Houses) in 2020. She’s got no answers. She knows she’s been outplayed in a political game by someone she had figured as a rank amateur.

The Dems most constructive way forward would be to focus on policy issues in which Trump is vulnerable; health care primarily; but also issues related polarization of wealth, infrastructure investment, regulation of banks and markets, and, presenting a comprehensive plan including trade, tax, credit, public investment and coordination for re-industrializing America (Sanders has come closest to that). But the radical cultural ideologues who are now in control of Democrat political apparatus and key committees, especially the Judiciary, will not let the Mueller Probe go. And every part of their cultural agendas will conspire against rebuilding equitably shared prosperity.

Trump now is simply taunting the House Dems. Instructing Executive Appointees not to testify or respond to subpoenas or requests for documents, citing Privilege. Essentially that leaves them out there in a rage throwing out empty Contempt citations which have no juridical power. They have totally lost the offensive and are parrying Trump’s jabs without any sense presenting a credible case against him.

As Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell sais Mueller is over, finished, finito. The House Dems are in LaLa Land, dreaming in technicolour, of making anything impeachable of this.

Yeah, he's running the Bush/Cheney playbook. Do as you please, and by the time it works its way through the courts, you'll be long gone.

Shortsighted and dangerous? You bet. But nobody ever accused Deranged Donald of being smart, except people stupider than he is.
