"Dictator" would be a better term. "Monarchy" implies hereditary, and aside from wanting to commit incest with Ivanka, Trump's never shown much interest in his kids.

But no, he's not. Once again, you're attributing a grand scheme to a man who is mentally and emotionally incapable of devising a grand scheme. He's Archie Bunker with money and power. He wants whatever pops into his head at the moment, and of course always, always to be the center of attention. He loves flattery and attention, and hates anything unfamiliar to him, and always, above all, anything that draws attention away from him.

Sadly, the only thing saving the U.S. is the fact that the man has the mind of a six-year-old and the emotions of a two-year-old. If he were like Putin or Xi, he'd already be a dictator, as Putin and Xi are.
Dr. Bones has spoken and agrees with Dr. Breezes summation .

Yup. They're not much beyond walking tributes that will carry on his name.

He's a wannabe dictator.

Accurate assessment.

I do agree he's dictator material and yes, it's only somehow freakish luck that the US isn't a dictatorship by now.

I was just moreso curious at your take on the monarchy ideas thrown around lately.

Well..he does consider himself "royal..........in his arrogance and sense of entitlement. So He would fall into a Royal Dictator.category ......a real throwback ............and given his mindset.........that might fit the best. I think he would like the title and power that goes with it.......but he would abuse it according to his immature whims just as he is abusing power now.

It is a true puzzlement that so many cannot see him for what he is and what he is doing. That is what gives that group the quality of a cult. Disenfranchised folks grab onto an ideology that promises them something better ??? than what they have.........They just don't realize that they are being duped. They respond on a visceral level ......not on an intellectual critical thinking level. just some thoughts on aaa very good subject. We are seeing the US change in front of our eyes.........

Change for the better perhaps . Did you see the latest employment numbers . Highest Black and Latino labour participation ever , rising wages and consumer confidence . Yes America is truly sinking .

Let 'er buck.

On January 20, 2021, or on January 20, 2025, Donald Trump will walk out of the White House for the last time. Whether or not his arms are twisted painfully behind his back by the Marines during this little stroll is entirely up to him.

what if he refuses to go?? What if he finds a way to continue his role as POTUS..........legally or not. He has gotten what he wants from the megahats, the indoctrinated senate, etc. Not sure folks realize the degree this pathological person loves power and to be adored . In HIS mind he iS power. one cannot underestimate the lengths this shyster would go to to get what he wants. or how much he has to alter the current system. The Mega hat cult might revolt at him leaving office.......and he is emboldened now....... and nastier than ever.

I figure a couple of young Marines won't have too much trouble escorting him out.

Now...there is a visual I can happily accept ;-)

as long as he is removed to a psych center. He will not stop meddling in affairs with his Twitter rants and opines.

The 22nd amendment has been challenged many times, with multiple attempts to have it repealed. Reagan suggested it as did Clinton. Not shocking that Mitch McConnell has also supported repealing, along with others from both parties. I can definitely see Trump challenging it, in fact I expect it. I do wonder though how many members of the GOP would support this. From the current book I'm reading (Stable Genius) and others I have read and from some news reports, there are many party members who behind Trumps back, simply can't stand him. They fear retribution from him if they dare speak out or show a sliver of disloyalty. So if true, I don't know if he'd find the support he would need in a challenge.
